- Q: Ford Expedition, ‘99.What does that mean?My car stutters a little when the Service Engine light is on but doesn‘t when it‘s just the ABS warning sign. They‘re never on together at the same time. Why?
- service engine light is telling you there's a fault in the system,ie., map sensor/map sensor/tps/oxygen sensor(s). abs light depending on color, I assume it's yellow mean's there's a fault in you brake system. the stutter in the car sound's like an oxygen sensor.
- Q: The other day my car suddenly stalled out when I was waiting to pull into a parking space and it wouldn‘t start again and had to get a jump start. Right before it stalled the abs and brake light came on. Now when I‘m driving and turn on the AC the battery light comes on but when I slow down like to stop at a light the battery light goes off. The battery is only like maybe 8 months old. This happened suddenly and without warning. Please help me! Thanks!!

- Q: had dead batt now it‘s gone crazy when i went to jump start it the alarm went bannanas but hear the problem bought the truck used and had no idea it ean had an alarm to get it to stop the noise i cut the horn/siren now the blue light flashes all the time never flashed b 4 and its makeing a quite clicking noise like every 30 seconds .so with no remote what would you do btw its a 1999 burban
- is it an after market alarm or is it factory fitted to the car? If it is factory fitted you should be able to get a remote from the manufacturer, if not, your gonna have to remove the alarm system. can be tricky because there are heaps of wires hooked up to the control module.

- no monthly fee, and they dont need to be wired in just cigarette lighter plug in. there are optional monthly things u can pay for like traffic and speed camera updates, some satnavs like the tomtom traffic range come with a year free subscribtion, TomTom have the easiest menus, and all satnavs have map updates via manufactuerers website.

- Sounds like a voltage regulator or weak battery problem. Assuming the alternator is providing juice to the battery you should have no trouble with auto start. Have the charging system and battery checked but I doubt it's the alternator especially since you've been through so many. No way all 4 can be faulty. Also you don't need a huge alternator and stock size will suffice for bright lights and a big horn whereas having a huge stereo would be a different story.
- Q: i have a 2004 saturn vue, i just had the oil changed a few weeks ago and the change engine oil light just came on, it comes on when i start the car and stays on for about a minute i checked the manual and it says each time the oil is changed the engine oil light system needs to be reset is this the reason the light comes on? what do u think? reccommend? mechanics please! thx

- Q: I went to start it on my lunch break yesterday and it was dead. I called AAA and they came to jump it and also did a test and said the battery tested fine, but it was dead again when I left work. After jumping it, driving it for 45 min and then leaving it running (lights, radio, etc turned off) for 20 min at home, it would not start again an hour later. The car has 100,000 miles on it and it is still the original battery. I have never had issues with it before. In fact, I have left interior lights on for hours and was surprised how long the battery lasted before it died. I'm really hoping I just need to replace the battery and not the alternator or something else. Anyone have any ideas?
- They usually ALL go bad at the same time. The alternator, battery and VOLTAGE REGULATOR. ON MANY cars the voltage regulator is built into the alternator. It hqas BRUSHES and electronics, and these brushes contact the rotating COPPER wheels with in the ALTERNAOTR. ANyways, when the brushes wear out the charge withers as teh contacts flutter away from teh contacts. Thsi will OVEROWRk the battery, adn vice versa. Get a fULL charge system tes. Chances are that your BATTERY and ALTERANTOR have worn out TOGETHER. WHn the alternator has charging problems the engine relies on BATTERY as a back up to provide POWER to spark plugs and keep fule pump going. GET A FULL CHRAGE TEST from AUTO ZONE, It's FREE> GOOD LUCK!!
