- Q: I have a 99 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd and it has the service engine soon light on i hooked up my scanner and it reads this, air injection reactor system bank 2. Can any one help me and let me know what can be wrong. Thanks for any feed back.
- Poncho on certain models of the 1999 silverado with the 5.3 liter engine these models have the A.I.R. system.This secondary air injection reaction pump and solenoid pumps air into the exhaust manifold to clean up the emissions.Your going to need to have the dealer or local auto repair shop in your area check the pump and solenoid operation and find out which one is not working.The ones that been in my service dept most of the time the pump is working but the solenoid gets stuck and causes poor air flow that causes the service engine soon lamp.Best of luck with your silverado.

- you have a bad ground connection for the T/S, the grounds are usually located near the light sockets, but you should get a wiring diagram to find them.
- Q: where do i light pilot on teledyne boiler?
- There are many models. Are you sure you have a pilot that needs to be lit and not an auto ignition system? Follow the gas line into the boiler to the gas valve control. If the knob or lever on it has a pilot position that's where you turn it and push down to get gas to pilot.The pilot itself will be at the end of the pilot tubing that comes from this control.

- mine has always been transmissions,i hate working on those,any other aspect of it im fine with,but on transmissions i don't like working on the newer ones at all,the older ones, say 25 years and back im fine with,but not the newer ones,the get too complicated,and taking them in and out isn't too much fun anymore,it wasn't bad when i was young but the older you get the harder it gets,i send all mine out now and have them done, i never did like working on those,but today that seems to be where the most work is at in transmissions,good luck.
- Q: 2003 hyundai sonata:My car engine stopped humming when I was waiting for a light and I wasn‘t able to move. The battery was fine (I put my hazard lights on) and the gas was fine. However, it was on drive and I wasn‘t able to shift past neutral to put it in park and turn off the car, and the brake pedal was locked (I couldn‘t push down)After about 10 minutes (after calling AAA and someone for advice) I was somehow able to shift it to park and turn the car off. I then restarted the engine and everything was fine. Is this because of the anti-lock braking system or is it some other issue?
- Antilock brakes have nothing to do with it- those just prevent the wheels from locking up. Is your Check Engine Light on? If so, you can go to Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts and have then use their computer to check your computer for free. Write back here with what the finding is. There is a chance this is due to your alternator, so have the folks at Advance run a charging systems test.

- Go to a junkyard or pull-n-pay place and get one. It's cheaper than buying it at Autozone or Advance Discount Auto Parts. But, if you want to spend the extra cash, those places should have brand new ones. And nj2pa2nc, that is actually incorrect. Cars still have them because even if you don't smoke, the 12v cigarette lighter socket is needed to power aplliances, laptops, nav systems, etc. Most cars just don't come with the actual lighter itself or an ashtray. However, these days, you have to pay extra for the smoker's package in your new car (ashtray, lighter, etc.)
- Q: I have sony 6x9‘s and 6 1/2 for speakers which are hooked up to the amp that came with the car. i also have 2 12‘ Infinty‘s with a rockford 8 gauge amp kit and p-400 amp. the dealer i got them installed at said i do not need one but my speedometer lights go off and on when they want?? need a little help please!? thanks
- that system shouldnt be drawing enough current to effect lights and gauges like that, you should get your alternator and electrical system checked out to make sure its performing as it should

- Q: i installed my Plug-And-Play H.I.D. lights today, and i found that the lights only work when i use my Flash To Pass triggerthat is completely unexpected.i do not understand why they won‘t work with my normal lights!they are not 2 bulbs together, it is only 1 bulb and 1 ballast per side,they won‘t even work when i have my High Beams on!!they only work when i hold the Flash To Pass lever!!i don‘t understand at all why it won‘t work!!does it have anything to do with my 2001 Grand Marquis having a Auto Lamp System?help please!!the lights are 9007 kind
- that car has a lighting control module seperate from the eec-v computer. You don't turn the lights on, you ask the car to turn it on, and if something isnt right, it will say no. Someone who has knowledge of the lighting control module could help you.
