A solar-powered pump is a pump running on electricity generated by photovoltaic panels or the thermal energy available from collected sunlight as opposed to grid electricity or diesel run water pumps.
- Q:Problem with my water pump/well tank?
- Hmmmmm. I think I would look at the pressure switch here if you can confirm that the well does have adequate water in it. The next thing is the small pipe that the pressure switch mounts on. If it is galvanized these have a tendancy over the years to build up deposits and rusty scale and may need to be replaced. It sounds like you have the bladder style of pressure tank and that is a good thing. To check the proper pressure in the bladder watch to see the cut off pressure of the pump as it cycles. Note this. Turn the pump off and completely drain off the pressure tank. Check and adjust the pressure at the top of the Wel-Trol to be 2 to 4 pounds less than the pressure cutoff that you noted using compressed air. As the other posts have mentioned you also may have a leak in the pressure line to your house. The way to test this is turn off all the water to the house and see if there is a check valve in the T at the pressure tank. It will look like a tube about 2 inches in diameter and 4 inches long. Usually there is not one here as they clack when the pump shuts off. If there is not one note the pressure. See if it drops. There should be no drop. If it is a drilled well there may be a leak in the pipe down the well and this usually requires a visit from a well servicing company to determine. Hope this helps.

- Q:How does a pump pump water?
- Generally speaking, pumps mostly refer to centrifugal pumps. Generally, the centrifugal pump is driven by an electric motor. Before the pump is started, the pump body and the suction line are filled with liquid. When the high-speed rotation of the impeller, the impeller drives the liquid between the blades of a rotation, due to the centrifugal force, the liquid was thrown from the impeller center to the outer edge of the impeller (flow rate can be increased to 15 ~ 25m/s), the kinetic energy is also increased. When the liquid enters the pump shell, the flow rate of the liquid gradually decreases as a result of the gradual expansion of the flow passage in the volute pump housing, and a part of kinetic energy is converted to static pressure, so the liquid flows out at the higher pressure along the outlet. At the same time, the impeller center because the liquid was thrown out and formed a certain vacuum, and the liquid level of pressure Pa than the center of the impeller to be high, so the suction pipe of the liquid in the pressure difference into the pump. The impeller keeps rotating and the liquid is continuously sucked in and out. Centrifugal pump is able to transport liquid, mainly due to centrifugal force, so called centrifugal pump.
- Q:Acura Legend water pump?
- go to kargen or autozone and it will tell you the cost. Normally labor is about $50-$100 but if you almost time to do the timing belt, you can change it the same time since all the belts are all right there and this might save you money in the future. If you are handy, you can get a manual and change it yourself, it is not that difficult. or go to search in youtube and sometime, some one video the process for you. Good luck

- Q:Already changed water pump and still leaking???
- <Need a little more info. First, you say classic signs. Does that mean the leak was seen coming directly from the water pump? Through the hub or around the edges? When you replaced the pump, did you THOROUGHLY remove the old gasket and clean the pump seat completely? Use a new gasket? Is it leaking in the exact same way? Those are the main points for stopping a water pump leak. Otherwise, it might be hoses, a crack in the pump seat, a leaking head gasket or thermostat housing gasket. But, if you're sure it was the pump itself, take it back off, re-clean the seat and try a new gasket.
- Q:How to find in a web how water pump works & its cross sections?
- My suggestion is go and search in the website howstuffworks
- Q:My water pump from oreillys came apart and messed up other engine parts what will they replace?
- the warranty will replace the water pump. the rest is on you my friend. if you had checked the water pump ealier when the bearing first started to make noise this would not have happened.
- Q:Could my problem be with the water pump?
- If he said the temp fell by revving the engine one of two things either the water pump is going out the bearing is failing and faster RPMS is pushing the water pump inside to spin faster and the bearing is starting to catch and work and spon the propeller OR the radiator is plugged or needs to be replaced. If the radiator is going bad it could be restricting water and more RPMS once again is pushing the water through the radiator to cool it. The other thing it could be is a radiator cap if it is not holding pressure then it will cause the water inside to boil slightly and make it hotter also. I would by a new cap and do the water pump. Those are the two cheapest. If that doesn't fix it then do a radiator.
