- unfortunately, there is no way to get a bleach stain out of a carpet. carpet dye is added topically, so what you have done is taken the color out of the rug. you may be able to have it repaired... if you have a large enough piece of carpet in a closet, an experienced carpet installer may be able to cut out the damaged piece and replace it . it won't be a perfect fix, but it will be better that what you have now.. for future reference NEVER use bleach on carpet, it is not color fast, and depending on the kind of carpet, you may melt the carpet. before using any kind of cleaning product, you should test it in a closet, or an inconspicuous area.
- Q: So i just signed a lease for my first apartment!! the down fall is that the rug is sooooooo ugly...it is in great shape so stains or sign of wear it is just puke yellow and brown...i cant describe how ugly.....any suggestions on what to do how to decorate or cover this thing up?(i have a white coach with red back pillows)
- You can look for an area rug, or you can go to a carpet store and have them cut some carpet and bind the edges to make a custom area rug. (It doesn't cost a lot for the binding.) Depending on your style, you might consider a large oval braided rug in the right colors =-check out JC Penney for those. You might consider a sisal area rug--check out the Home Depot.

- try some diaper soaker .first try iit onsome part oof the rug that can't be seen in case it takes the colour of the rug out .then use it carefully ,not too much soaker.about half a cup in a litre of water get as much of the poop off as you can before you start then gently drawing the stain to the center from each side dab on the diaper soaker. you will need to put the soaker in some warm water. when you think you have got it cleaned up get a micro cotton towel and put it over the stain and stand on it .this will soak up most of the water .you may have to repeat this to get it all out .

- i saw somewhere that you get to walk the carpet,didnt you check before entering whatever competition it was? you dont have to have a pass to be on the sides of a red carpet so you could be in luck walk down the carpet and if your old enough have a few drinks b4 you do lol.i wish i could tell u 100% but my gut tells me that u can walk it,ive seen ppl walking on the carpet who have nothing to do with the event in the past

- Your Base board can be laid first without the Gap or with the Gap a true carpet installer will make it work. I wouldn't worry about it seeing that you have no reason to bury carpet under a baseboard. Carpet only should fit snug up to baseboards an walls. No one runs carpet under walls why would you run your carpet under your baseboard get a clarification on this an ask your carpet installer why he wants it done this way. You shouldn't replace baseboards every time you replace carpet either. Now if this was hard wood floors or such then yeah you need to have it go all the way to the wall.
- Q: Stuff I've bought doesn't work, and to be honest they cost too much money, is there a cheap/natural way to clean carpet effectivly?
- I just shampooed my carpet and I wouldn't pay the price for the regular shampoo for carpet so I looked it up online and found several options. Some said to use diluted vinegar in water (the smell goes away after it's dried). Some said to use vinegar and oxy clean....there were several answers. Since I already had oxi clean on hand I decided to used that alone. I used a scant scoop in hot water using my own machine and it worked very well. Got out the stains and made the carpet come alive and smelled nice and fresh. If you want more options just type in cleaners for carpet and see what comes up. There's one that will work for you without buying the stuff that cost $20 a bottle.
