Q:the lenght of driver passenger side blades in inches
don't go to walmart for windshield wipers for accord. I did it for my accord just like the post above and they still did not fit. Go to an auto store and tell them what you need and they will even walk out into the parking lot and install them on your car for you. It will cost about $24.
Q:why does my windshield wipers stop in the up position on my 2000 pontiac montana?
The park switch in the wiper motor is bad.this switch shuts off power to the motor when the wipers reach the full down position and the wiper switch has been turned off. If the park switch is bad, the wipers will just stop wherever when you turn them off instead of cycling through to the full down position.
Q:We have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer and every time it rains the wipers kind of drag on the windshield. My husband replaced them already and it‘s still doing it. He thinks it‘s the motor but is there anything we can do to see what the problem is before we invest in a new motor? A few times when it was raining and it was on high speed the wipers would pause for about 3 seconds then go again. The highest level would do about the job of the medium speed level. If anyone can help me that‘ll be great. I appreciate it. :)
It certainly sounds like the windshield wiper motor is beginning to seize up. I had the same problem with my Chevy truck when it hit the 10 year old mark. Too many people suspect electrical or switch problems which is very rarely the case. The windshield wiper system is pretty simple in design. I would replace the wiper motor assembly before your wipers stop completely. It's not very fun to try driving without wipers in a down pour! Good luck!
Q:ok so I have a 97 chevy c1500 4.3 and the wipers work on all the settings but after being on the setting for a while it just stops in the middle of the windshield after that happens none of the other settings work other than highspeed. im pretty sure its in the switch how do I fix that?
You've already got plenty of amendments. Just plant whatever you are going to plant and get on with your life. You'll be fine. Fertilize occasionally.
Q:i want to put a sticker on the back of my suv, but i have a windshield wiper there. will it tear the sticker off if the sticker is in the path of the wiper?
Eventually yes. You have to put the sticker on the inside of the window, or otherwise the wiper will wear it away.
Q:On my 95 Ford Escort, one day i pulled up on my driver-side windshield wiper because they were frozen. I pulled the wiper in the path it follows on the windshield and it seems to have striped the part it‘s held on to, because it comes out across the windshield and I have to stick my hand out the window to set it back while driving. It also rests up further than the other one when I turn them off. I took off the wiper, set it back down to where it should be and turned them on and they still come out over the side of my windsheild at speeds above 50km/h. Any help on fixing it please?
Sounds like you stripped the gears in the wiper motor's little transmission. Might go to a salvage yard and get one off a wrecked car and change it.
Q:So my driver side wiper stopped working and upon inspection I saw that the pivot had came off of the wiper motors arm. I looked into the pivot and the bushing is broken. But the pivot did snap back into place with the motor and the wiper works again. My question is how long do you think it‘ll last me? Apparently I have the replace the whole thing because the bushing isn‘t sold separately. I‘m gonna try a few junk yards and see if they have it but until then I have no choice but to drive around with the bushing broken.
Just depends, it usually breaks when you need it the most.
Q:is there someway to increase the pressure ?
There isn't a way to increase the pressure on an old worn wiper arm. As far as the removal goes, it likely isn't the original arm, so the method of removal depends on the design. Easiest solution? Find an Auto parts dealer who replaces wiper arms and blades at no charge when you buy them. In my town Advance Auto parts does it free. They are a national chain, and probably do it at most locations.
Q:one of two windshield wipers acts like it is loose and does not move on the gear
Pry off the cap at the point of pivot with a knife. You will see a bolt. Position the wiper in sync with the other wiper. Tighten bolt. Replace cap.
