Maintainance guide:
Make sure that you regulaly clean the wood floors in order to prevent dust accumulation. We recommand to clean a small part
of stains as a testing ground to prevent too much chromatic aberration.
Dust and stain— use a hard brush dipped in warm soapy water to remove it.
Mildew— scrub with ordinary wood mode class agents, or bleach to rinse or wipe it directly.
Chalk stains—In addition to the while chalk, other colors can not be removed, you can use bleaching agent with hot soapy
water to wash it.
Ice or snow—Apply calcium chloride or rock salt, it can melt ice or snow, then use hot soapy water to wash it.
Stain soil and dirts— Apply detergent, which contains oxalic acid or phosphoric acid. Whiping the stain for 10-15 mins.
Greasy and oil-based stains—immediately use household cleaning products with hot soapy water to wash it.
Juice and wine stains—Mixed the bleach stain agent and hot soapy water to dilute the stain and wipe.

- Q: Hi, I might be installing a floating floor that uses plastic connectors to join each plank. They lock together great, however I can still feel the separation between each plank. Can I add clear lacquer to the floor after it is completely installed to give it a uniform feel?
- You shouldn't. The factory finish is done under quality controlled eviroment. Any finish you put on will not last as long. If it is installed right, the joints are barely noticable.
- Q: I am installing a floating laminate floor with a foam underlayment on a wood subfloor. This is in the living room on the first floor of my house. I would like to put a slate-topped pool table (heavy) in the room but I am concerned about the weight of it. I question what thickness of laminate to get and a way to distribute weight enough not to damage floor. Any suggestions?
- Choose the base of your pool table wisely. Force = pressure multiplied by area. The force will remain constant as the weight of the pool table does not change. So, you need to change surface area to affect pressure on the floor. The larger the floor contact with the pool table, the more distributed the weight will be. Which means that if you have a large contact with the floor, you will have less pressure on that section of the floor. If you have no choice but to go for those tiny little leveling feet, then possibly run a thin piece of wood between the feet at each end. Something like a 1x4, or even a sheet of thick plywood. You will be distributing the weight of half the pool table from two tiny little feet onto a much larger surface, thus reducing the pressure effectss on the floor. Just remember, you can always touch up that piece of wood to match your table. It's just a way to protect your floor. Heck, you could even install a nice curtain of sorts to hide the base of the table from view.

- Wood floor is always best for dancing because your feet slide with less resistance than with linoleum, tile or carpet. Than is why dance studios have wood floors. However, dancing is very hard on wood floors and they have to be refinished often when used for dancing. - Try scrubbing with a little soap & water. Use one of the sponges with the traditional sponge on one side and the green abrasive stuff on the other. If that doesn't work you could either try a little paint thinner or call the maker - Pergo; Wilsonart; et al and ask them what to do and what warrenty coverage may be available. Worst case scenario, I believe the dealers have experts that can come and replace a single board. But it's probably expensive. Good luck.

- Remember x can describe as integer part y and decimal part .ddddd or y.dddd the floor of y.dddd and -y.dddddd so floor of (y.dddd) is y (the next smaller number ) the floor of (-y.ddddd) = -y - 1 (the next smaller number) so along as .dddd is not zero . for positive x , floor(y.ddddd) = y for negative x, floor(-y.dddd) = -y - 1 so floor(x) + floor(-x) = y + (-y -1) = -1 However , when x is a whole number you have y + (-y) = 0

- I had laminated wood flooring and that looked good but it's not durable. We replaced it with porcelain tile, now that's a very strong material. The kitchen needs to be very durable, because there is a lot of traffic going through. It does cost more, but in the long run, it's worth it.

- It depends on what kind of flooring you want to install, and what is already on the floor. If you are going to install a sheet vinyl, and there is more than one layer of existing flooring you will have to remove the old flooring. Then you will probably have to install 1/4 luan or plywood underlay first. Then you will have a nice smooth surface for the new floor. If there is only one layer of existing flooring and it is smooth and tight you should be able to install the new vinyl right over it. Some vinyls have to be glued fully, and then there are others that are only perimeter glue. You should remove the stool, install the new floor, a new seal under the stool and replace it.
