Q: I am looking for the best carpet cleaner for cheap apartment carpeting, that I can use with my steam cleaner, I have asked this question, but I'm getting answers for just applying it to the stain and wiping it away, when accually I want to mix it in with water and use it with the carpet cleaner.The stains consist of dirt, pet stains, and other build up, please if you know of anything that works well, answer.: Simple solution actually has a carpet cleaning shampoo that works pretty well, I think most of the carpet shampoos are about the same. I have found that using the stuff for stains first (like resolve) and then cleaning the carpet with the machine works better and gets the carpet cleaner. Also from time to time to clean my carpets with my machine I will add a little bleach with the carpet shampoo. It does help.

Q: Do i need to use a carpet stretcher to install carpet.If i don't use one will it still work alright: The stretcher is a key component. Without the stretcher you could end up with wrinkles in the carpet and the edges may pose a problem.

Q: I want to redo my basement but getting new carpet is so expensive! Right now I have a really ugly green carpet with red and light yellowish squares. My kids want to make it in to a more loungey basement so the carpet is gonna be really hard to work with. Its the alternative to vinyl, cost comparitively the same. Looks as nice. Colored concrete is cheap also, lasts for decades. But you can do a diy job on the faux hardwood lumber, w/ the concrete I don't know.
