An engine scan will not tell you your water pump is leaking. Take it some place that knows what they are doing.

Prior to the cars coolant getting hot, remove the radiator cap and start the engine. Let it run for 5 minutes or so. Look into the radiator and see if the coolant is moving like a jacuzzi. If the coolant is swishing around strongly, the pump is good, if not, wait another 5 minutes for the thermostat to open. If after waiting, the coolant still has no movement, I would say the thermostat may be stuck closed. Unless there is a leak or noise coming from the water pump, don;t worry about it. They tell you when a problem is present. Noises or leaks will be the sign of a bad pump. If you see none of these signs, don't worry and enjoy your trip. Good Luck...

The lower the discharge head (pressure) the more the pump will pump. The higher the head the less the pump will pump. Assuming these are centrifugal pumps then their performance will balance with the system pressure drop curve to seek a point on each pump's operating curve that matches the overall system pressure drop curve. In other words the pressure will go up some and the flow rate will also go up some but neither will double.

this sounds more like a radiator problem, or possibly an electric fan, if there is on. Take off the radiator cap when the vehicle is cold and start it up. let it idle until the thermostate opens. and watch the water in the radiator to see if it circulates at all as someone slowly raise the idle up to 2 thousand rpm, and rev the engine a few times, and see if the coolant momes across the radiator. It may be your thermostate is stuck partway, or the radiator is ready for a rebuild, they generally are good for about 20 years or so. I suggest using distilled or filtered water in your radiator if you replace it. There are many harmful chemicals in tap water, much more than people realize, and they can combine with chemicals in antifreeze and cause solder rotting electrolysis. By using distilled water, you minimize this risk and studies by major radiator companies have been proven to make radiators last a lot longer if a minimum amount of care is taken, like changing antifreeze every few years, and using distilled water as much as possible. I buy mine in the gallon jugs. and top off the overflow occasionally.

your question is not clear, do you need to build the pump from scratch or you should find one? what is the water flow rate? how high the water need to go? what the helmet has to do with the problem? simplest solution will be to go to the store and buy small hand pump (for fuel).
Q:My toilet has a water pump to deposit water to the toilet and a floatie that will stop the flow. But now it does not flow water through the hose, instead it looks like it's clogged and water drips from the floatie handle. Do i need to replace it? Or could it be something easy to fix?
The okorder /... Every hardware store has them. You can get the part I think it is 400A that doesn't have the flapper included. I'm not crazy about fluidmaster flappers because they always leak on me after a very short while.
