- This isn't a History question. It's a homework question. All you have to do is look up each on Wikipedia and check the dates ... its just time consuming. I'll help you out with the first one because it's a little convoluted. Washing Machines invented in 1691. Available in Europe by the 1750's. Available in the US by 1843. NON-ELECTRIC washing machines were fairly common 1870's to 1900 Electric washing machines were available 1904. US electric washing machine became common in households by 1928.

- To fool you! If you acknowledge how loud they were, would you buy one?

- Dysons work very well, but you do have to clean all the hair of the bristles after your done, or else if you don't then after awhile you'll end up having to cut the hair of the bristles (not fun). My parents also have a Kirby Heritage that they use to clean the hardwood floors. We have a pomeranian who sheds constantly, so we're always vacuuming little wads of hair off the floor. I don't think that dog hair ruins a vacuum cleaner, just make sure you clean out the hair stuff so that it doesn't get clogged, or lose any suction or anything.

- Loud Rap music
- Q:I am looking for a good price for a store bought vacuum. Nothing too expensive, but something that is great for picking things up. -Light-Weight.-Affordable.-With a hose.
- Most good vacuum cleaners start at around $250. and up. Anything that costs less will be a piece of junk. Check Target and Walmart sales ads and see whats on sale. Another great place to check is Costco or Sams Club. A good vacuum can run anywhere from $ 250 up ti $1200. Good quality and usability does not come cheap. You might also check your local Yellow Pages for shops that repair vacuum cleaners. They frequently have used but rebuilt vacuums for a lot less money than a new one. Stay away from Kirby and Oreck. They are very expensive and not necessarily that great.
- Q:We need a really quiet vacuum cleaner that can be operated while meetings are going on. Any suggestions
- The quietest one I know is a Ghibli. I have one. If you're standing beside it, you can talk to someone in a normal voice. Mine doesn't have a beater bar which is the noisiest part of a vacuum cleaner but has lots of suction and does a very good job on carpets without it. Go to a vacuum specialty store and see what they have. I understand that Miele is very quiet too. When you're checking out vacuum cleaners, note that most of them give a decibel rating in the specs
- Q:My partner and I recieved two vacuum cleaners for Christmas and want to return one to the store. - I work at a vac store and I've never heard of either brand. Its hard for me to say for sure not being familiar with the companys or products.(USA) My best advice is to call their customer service lines and see who is the most willing to help you. A compnay that produces a good product will have good customer support to stand behind it. Make up a problem and see how eager they are to solve it. e.g. you are having trouble putting it together. Pick the one that takes care of you the best. You can also look to see where the machine is manufactured. Stay away from chinese, and korean. Look to see if the parts that are going to take abuse(brushroller, bottom plate, tools, wheels) are made out of durable material(ABS plastic or metal). Last you can call local vac shops, try a few different ones, tell them you were interested in purchasing those vacs and you wanted to know if they sold them and what their opinion was on them.
- Q:Hello ParentsCould you please advice me on buying a vacuum cleaner for my baby's car seat. I was going to buy dyson's hand held one but the review said the battery time was only 4-5minutes after 3hrs of charging, therefore looking for something else that is good and handy and easy to store.thanks for your reply.
- Q:chased around by giant vacuum cleaners?
- LMAO! Probably! I'm giving you a star! Thats funny!
