Q:i just bought and exhaust system for my car. its from the resonator back. i planning on buying headers before i put anything on. i thinking about buying a high flow test pipe catalytic converter. but i was told putting this high flow catalyic converter would screw with my senor and more than likely make lights come on in my dash. the person that told me this said i should get my computer recalibrated but i dont know where to get that done or how much it will cost. he said i should just keep the stock converter. what should i do?
If you've got a resonated exhaust and hi flow cats then most likely you will need your ECU remapped/recalibrated. Without doing this you'll not be getting the most out of either the exhaust or the cats. A remap should cost less than the exhaust you've bought. Have a look online or search forums to find somewhere reputable for your make of car.
Q:I have a 1998 Honda Accord V6 coupe and im wondering if i should get an exhaust for it. I am 17 years old living in New Jersey. I dont really care if it gains any performance(but i wouldnt mind). What I am mainly conserned about is if I will grow out of it quickly. I want it mainly because they look good and i will enjoy the sound for awhile, but im hopeing I will not grow out of it. Please let me know your opinion on them and how old you are (if thats ok), and let me know if you have any personal experience.
Don't get it, you are burning the candle at both ends. Modifying the car will shorten it's life. Yes, you will grow out of it!
Q:I am planning to purchase a new WRX this summer and wanted to know for the money which is better the upgrade exhaust system that Subaru offers or aftermarket.same question for the upgraded soundsystem they offer or after market? Thank you.
The exhaust is nice - has a nice little warble to it and works well with the rest of the car - unless you plan on doing many other performance also or need an obnoxious fart muffler I wouldn't waste money here. The sound system sucks - if you like your sound you will absolutely want to replace the whole thing.
Q:How the car clutch hydraulic system is deflated
There are deflators in the sub-pump, two people with it
Q:Civic exhaust system?
I'll tell you right now. If you go and buy that POS exhaust, its going to rust the **** off and real quick like too. Its also going to sound and look like crap. Don't expect it to last long. Invest in a better product and save your time and money in the end. Check out Thermal, HKS, Injen and companies like that. Anyways, if it doesn't and you put a new exhaust on there that doesn't have a cat either. Just have an exhaust shop install one for you when they put the exhaust on.
Q:I want a loud exhaust system for my truck and i need some help in figuring out what to get.
who should pay for the sensor, if they are broke at the dealership
Q:what would be a good performance muffler that would give me a little more power and a nice sound? i don‘t want a cat back system because they‘re pretty expensive and it would be cheaper and easier for a performance muffler and should give me almost the same result. btw i have a 2003 Mitsubishi lancer es with a kn sri
Try ordering from APEXi. They shave some AMAZING exhaust systems jut for Lancers. Check out eBay if you want a cheap muffler for an ok sound too. Skunk2 is good too
Q:Why should Roz blower place a check valve or check valve? Talk about the principle
Do you mean a one-way valve? Roots blower fans are not allowed to reverse the general (because the inlet and the exhaust gap is not the same), so Roots blowers need to set the one end of the valve, that is, to allow the wind from the Roots The fan is entered into the piping system, but prevents the Roots blower from suddenly shutting down, while the system's gas receives the effect of the system pressure, and the return impact of the Roots blower causes the Roots blower to reverse and damage the Roots blower. In addition, when several Roots blowers run in parallel, assuming that one of them does not work, then the check valve can also prevent the exhaust end of the gas through this unused Roots blower, causing its reverse damage.
Q:What is a cut back exhaust I‘m trying to look for a after market exhaust but don‘t no what it really means about cut back And by the way I got a 1995 mustang GT 5.0 I‘m trying to put a borla exhaust but just need to about the cut back
The term is Cat Back which means from the catalytic converter to the exhaust tip.
Q:Does Autozone install exhaust systems?
I would call some of your local muffler shops and ask them what is available for your car under $300 bucks. Get the prices from 3 or 4 different places and then make a decision. Mineke, Midas, Mr. Muffler is a few in my area. I am not sure if they are in your area but pull out the yellow pages and go from there. Good luck.
