Q:What prior education and skills are needed to become a Crane operator ?
A basic education is required, no need for major courses. Skills however is developed through training. One is communication skills using a radio. Because crane operators have a partner called rigger, who overlooks the movement of crane below while telling instruction to the crane operator. Another skill is synchronization. Crane operators should possessed good movement synchronization and operation of levers and buttons inside his cabin. Another is good eyesight. Lastly, safety skill. Operators should know the capacity or the equipment he is operating and the calibration of the machine he is using.
Q:i need the names of the organisms. like names of insects or fish or what ever they eat. give the organism's name. don't just say fish or insects. i need specific names.this is for a biology project.
Diet okorder /.. I'm sorry, I couldn't find any specific names, but here are some general ones. Sorry again.
Q:How were Churches and really tall buildings constructed hundreds of years ago before the invention of cranes?
Cranes existed in different forms than today for a really long time. Just, they used pulley systems are were human, animal, or even water powered. They might be the single greatest part of how the Roman empire was built outside of the invention of concrete.
Q:hes been here for about 3 years. i want to feed him but i don't know what it eats. is there any way i could help him eat? i think he is going to die if we destroy the last of the forest area where we live.
Want to help? Don’t feed them, which draws them deeper into dangerous urban areas. And try to keep reflective surfaces covered. Following these tips could keep these majestic citizens a little safer. In 2002, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission made it illegal to feed sandhill cranes. Why Is Feeding Cranes A Bad Idea? Cranes fed by humans can become aggressive toward people. In several instances, children have been attacked by cranes. Cranes fed by humans also have been known to damage window screens and do other property damage. This behavior is probably a response of the birds to seeing their reflection, bringing out a territorial defense behavior (scratching at windows or shiny automobiles). Cranes also are more likely to tangle in human garbage in areas populated by people. Cranes attracted to people's yards for feed are put at risk as they walk across roads. Many sandhill cranes are killed each year on Florida roads. Cranes are also more likely to crash into power lines in urban areas where such aerial hazards are concentrated. Attracting cranes to urban areas increases the threat of predation (especially to young cranes) by dogs or cats. Further, the cranes' diets, which normally are quite diverse, are disrupted when they eat one food item (such as corn), consistently. Heavy pesticide use in urban lawns also is of concern. Young sandhill cranes have died from pesticide poisoning. It's Never a Good Idea to Feed Wildlife People inadvertently put cranes in harms way when they attract these birds with feed. Florida sandhill cranes have an abundance of natural foods (insects and small animals) and they do not need handouts from humans. There are many reasons why cranes should not be intentionally fed by humans, so I hope this gives you a few you can communicate to these well-intentioned people. The bottom line message: For the good of the cranes, please do not feed them.
Q:Why is there as much evidence of Icabod Crane, as there is of god??
Ichabod wasn't headless until Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked him.
Q:anyone can tell me the common steel tube material using for crane boom, both main chord and lattice boom. thanks !
Steel, like you said, do you want an exact specification? That will vary by whether it is a very long and slender tall crane or a shorter heavy duty for considerable loads. It may even vary depending on whether the manufacturer has as a goal an extra light weight unit using more expensive stronger steel or is willing to use thicker walls to use more ordinary steel. That is what engineers are for.
Q:What are the common problems encountered in hiring cranes for house constructions?
Access, I assume you need a Franna. Possibly for frames and or trusses to the second level or steel beams. You will be limited by reach if the crane can only access the front of the house. In which case you may need a slew crane 30t or larger. Know the weights of what has to be lifted and the distance from the crane to where it will be placed. A crane cannot set up or travel over underground services or recently filled excavation. These things could mean the crane has to set up even further away from the house. If the crane is for unloading trucks, access again. Cranes need to stay about 3meters from power lines which is a common problem bringing gear onto site. While a slew crane generally sets up in one position for all lifts (some can travel) a Franna is designed specifically for pick and carry. It can unload trucks and travel the gear onto site under the power lines. Provided it isn't lifting extra large items. Speak with the provider about what has to be done, it will be all to familiar for any decent company. As long as access is fine and underground services won't hinder you they should know exactly what you need. Be prepared, usually a minimum 4hr hire. If you think the task is going to take longer you need to plan what has to be done and have everything ready for placement. Organization is paramount, you don't want a crane and it's crew sitting there doing nothing because you didn't plan ahead. Hope this helps, I could have been more specific if the question had some details.
Q:How many types of crane?
Here okorder /
Q:Tower crane and construction hoist service life? What are the norms and standards? How to detect?
According to Hangzhou quality safety supervision station (2011) No. 56 document:Six, strengthen the use of longer construction crane management1, more than the required number of tower cranes and construction hoist should be qualified units for security assessment, the specific years with reference to the following requirements.Tower crane: 630KN.m (excluding 630KN.m), factory more than 10 years of age (including 10 years); 630KN.m1250KN.m (excluding 1250KN.m), factory more than 15 years of age (including 15 years);
Q:Is the crane a metaphor for the woman? Or does it transform into one? OR does the guy marry a bird? I've been listening to this all week and cannot discern which is right...maybe that was Colin's intention? A little help here?
It's a story about a peasant living in, I assume, rural Japan, it being a Japanese folk tale. He finds a wounded crane on the road as he's walking one night. It has an arrow in its wing, and he pulls out the arrow and revives the crane. A couple of days later this mysterious woman shows up at his door and he brings her in. Eventually, they fall in love and are married. Although they're poor-- she's a seamstress, a weaver-- she suggests that she can make this cloth that he could sell and make money. But the one condition is that when she's weaving he can't look into the room at her weaving. This goes on for awhile, until eventually the peasant's curiosity gets the best of him and he looks in. It turns out that the woman is a crane, and she's pulling feathers from her wings and putting them into the cloth, which is what makes it so beautiful and soft. Apparently, having looked in at her breaks the spell and she turns permanently back into a crane and flies away.
