Q: the lifting capacity of a hydraulic crane is based on two primary design factors what are they?
The potential lifting force of a hydraulic crane is primarily based on the diameter of the piston and on the pressure of the oil. Everything else is subservient, but necessary.
Q: I live in the upper stairs of this apartment with a huge light right next to the front door, and a bunch of Crane Flies kind of hover around it. So whenever we open the door, some of them come in, and it's a big problem. Especially to a someone like me who's deathly afraid of big bugs.So we want to buy the Raid spray, but we don't know if it would work. The Raid: Ant and Cockroach spray didn't work that well, but that's understandable.sooo anyways, has anyone tried the Flying Insect Raid on Crane flies?
Crane flies do no harm whatsoever, so what you're proposing will replace the total lack of harm that crane flies do with the potential harm of adding more pesticides to the world, plus the byproducts produced in its manufacture and the garbage the can represents later. Is this really worthwhile? I would suggest you look into getting a yellow bug light, it's quite possible that a different type of bulb than what you're using now might be much less attractive to crane flies. If not, addressing your unreasonable fear of insects would be a safer solution.
Q: Similarities in theme with Emily Dickinson and Stephen Crane?
I think death and peace...... Majority of the poem written by Ms. Dickinson tackles about death like To Die-takes just a little while and peace while Mr. Crane is about war and peace like Red Badge of Courage
Q: I'll be graduating from a Korean language extra school in 1,5 years, and one of the teachers there is really amazing. Essentially, she has taught me the most compared to any other teacher there.Would giving her a 1000 cranes (and a bouquet maybe?) an appropriate and good 'thank you and goodbye' gift? Is it too little? Or overkill? She really means a lot so I want to give something!
I think that gift would be perfect for a teacher! If I was a teacher and a student gave that to me i'd cry. Have you heard about that book of the 1000 paper cranes? (Can't remember the name) but it says if you make a 1000 paper cranes then you get a wish. Well anyways make sure you present the presents nicely. Like put the cranes in a pretty jar with a beautiful ribbon wrapped around it and get flowers that're her favorite colors.
Q: In Batman Begins.I'm guessing something in the Psychology area...?And what courses would you need to take to have the same career.
I just watched that movie last night :) I would say that Crane is a criminologist which is the the scientific study of crime and criminal behavior and law enforcement. In which you would need to study psychology and sociology. Many colleges also have a criminology major. If not, then I would say that he is a psychiatrist (a medical doctor that deals with workings of the mind) who is used as a consult by the Gotham City Police Department. To be a psychiatrist, one needs a medical degree, and to also study psychology and sociology. However, to by a psychologist, you don't need the medical degree. I want to major in psychology, so I've done this research haha. Hope this helps!
Q: how do construction crews put up a crane?
They assemble it on a concrete foundation using a mobile crane. To grow taller, the top unit of the tower crane has a jacking mechanism that lets it raise itself up and insert another tower section.
Q: electromagnetic crane
Current sent through a coil of wire creates a magnetic field, which can be used to pick up ferromagnetic objects. Turn off the current, and the field will turn off (although it might take a few seconds to turn off all the way), dropping the object.
Q: I'm 17 and I was planning on reading it for class, do you think it will be easy to read?
Stephen Crane, Maggie is fantastic! I read it in school when I was 14 so I have no doubt you will have no problems in reading it. Maggie is the tale of an inevitable fall from grace on the part of a young, innocent girl trapped in the vicious world of New York City's slums. Yearning for acceptance and love, beaten at home by alcoholic parents, Maggie sets out with Pete, a local bartender whose cultured mannerisms elicit great respect from the impressionable young girl. However, when Pete spurns her for another, Maggie is ejected out onto the street, forced into prostitution to make a living. We last see her moving off, a huge, oily fat man in tow, for a darkened corner in the city's seedy underworld. If Upton Sinclair's The Jungle is a torrent of social anger and protest, Crane's Maggie is like a brilliant lightning strike, flashing across our vision and leaving us temporarily blinded. The book--scarcely 70 pages--is succint, brutish, and merciless. Crane allows his readers to form their own opinions regarding the characters. His innovative use of near-phonetic spelling to depict in the reader's ear the local dialect of New York's rough neighborhoods was shocking and difficult to comprehend when the book was first released. It lends Maggie an air of earthy legitimacy. Ultimately, Maggie is a cry for the plight of poor children--the souls we overlook with a callous unease mirrored in Pete's offhand, uncaring rejection of young Maggie's genuine love and affection. It is, without qualification, Stephen Crane's greatest and most moving achievement.
Q: How many meters of cranes should be in accordance with the anemometer?
In accordance with national regulations, outdoor cranes need to install anemometer.Specific provisions"GB6067.1-2010 crane safety regulations", 9.6.1 anemometer and wind speed alarm9.6.1.1 high speed cranes for outdoor work shall be equipped with an anemometer. The anemometer shall be located upwind of the upper part of the crane.9.6.1.2 high speed crane for outdoor operation should be equipped with an air speed alarm that displays instantaneous wind speed, and when the wind speed is greater than the working wind speed setting value, the alarm signal should be sent out.
Q: I'm a little confused as to what the difference is between the crane and the flare boom-____- I'm thinking that the flare boom is what they use to burn off oil I there's a fire, but is that right? And what does the crane do?
The flare boom is just that, a stationary boom that supports the flare line. It is not a crane, those are completely separate and usually on the side of the platform away from the flare boom. The flare has to be set out from the platform so the radiant heat from the flame doesn't harm the people on board or the equipment. Yes there is normally a standing pilot and there will be a flame if there is a need to burn off the natural gas during an upset or emergency.
