- If you let the grout get *really* wet, and if you haven't sealed it yet, after it soaks for a while, you should be able to rub it off with a towel or rage, if you use a bit of elbow grease. It will come off without damaging the tile

- If they happen to be the smaller 1x2 or 2x2 sized tiles, those you can donate to schools and preschools. These are good for counting. Anything bigger and they' re hard to handle for little kids. Larger tiles can be donated to older art classes for the kids to use. If they are colorful tiles you can break them (carefully) up to use as a mosaic pattern for decorating planters, small counter tops etc. I ve even seen wall art done with broken tiles and framed. - Scrub the floor thoroughly, use a deglazer (available at any hardware or home store) and let it dry completely before laying the new tiles. That will provide a better surface for the new tiles.

- I love your color scheme- brown and pink is one of my favorites. I think a nice bright white would look really sophisticated with your paint job, plus it will go with pretty much anything you decide to shift to in the future. Cream can be a little tricky because different shades go in and out of style (think 1990's IBM PCs color!). White is white, and it's easy to match to appliances and fixtures as they come and go.

- Yes, you need to have a dry underlayment before reinstalling tile. However, plastic tile in the shower sounds like bad news. If the underlayment is simply plaster wallboard, then you need to replace the shower walls. You need special board designed for wet applications; ask at your home center. You should really redo the tile with ceramic. An alternative is to install a fiberglass shower stall. These are much less labor intensive. If the underlayment is water-rated, then apply tile cement and stick the thing back on. Grout? You may need to redo that. It comes in many colors so you can get a good match. However, if one tile has popped off, then others are probably ready to go, so consider redoing the shower with a more permanent solution.
