- How long have you had the car. If you bought it used it sounds to me like the previous owner might have taken out the thermostat, and not replaced it. Also, is it a small 4 cylinder. I have seen four cylinders in the compact pontiac lamans that have that problem and it is just built that way. Block is very small and aluminum and dissipates the heat quickly during idle in winter.
- Q: Do you think clothing is necessary anymore? We have enough control of our indoor environment that we can be comfortable indoors in all weather. With the exception of shoes, it's not used to protect us from anything, and now it's useless as insulation. It seems to me that clothing does nothing but drain our resources and protect our precious sensibilities. Nudity in itself is not sexual it's natural. Clothing also doesn't &prevent rape& for the same reason rape isn't a sexual crime, it's a crime of power, so someone being naked wouldn't &cause rape&.Do you agree or disagree?
- Honestly I don't know how to comment on this I think the way you measure accomplishments and I do are very different. Eating certain things early, is not necessarily considered gifted. That said.At the level he is at now physically (pushing things, climbing, opening, closing, pushing buttons, etc) all are typical behaviors for 1 1/2 year old. So if anything he is right on target- which is a good thing. But as far as gifted I think its a little early to determine that.
- Q: Has anybody any problems with their Iridium shields flaking? It seems that the mirrored finish and color are starting to flake off around the bottom edge and the tab you use to flip the shield up with. Ive only had the shield for a few months and have only been really caught in the rain once. I use the Motosport Cleaner and Polish to clean it. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks
- 1. First a thick, soft, clear plastic layer. This layer comprises the majority of the CD's thickness and weight. It serves two purposes. First, it protects the data layer from damage on the play side and Secondly it acts as a lens to focus the CD player's laser onto the data layer so it can more easily read the data (much the way lenses in spectacles help eyes focus on the words on a page). 2. Next the data layer is where the music and any other information are stored. It's the layer that the CD player reads in order to create the music, graphics, etc. The data layer is molded or pressed into the top of the clear plastic layer. The data in the data layer is arranged in tracks that spiral like the grooves on a vinyl record (except CDs are read from the inside out, the opposite of vinyl records). 3. Now a reflective, metallic layer is located on top of the data layer. It allows the disc to function like a mirror, reflecting the CD player's laser back to the detector in the CD player after it reads the data layer It's this layer that gives the CD's play side a shiny appearance. 4. A thin, hard protective layer is an ultra-thin plastic coating that is added to provide some protection for the reflective and data layers, while also forming a surface upon which the label information can be printed. 5. Finally the label layer is printed on top of the protective layer. It contains the title, graphics, band and other information to identify the contents of the disc. (label side).

- All of the above answerers ideas as well as; Swimming pools and hot tubs need fences and locking covers. Baths should always be supervised Teach children what the different danger symbols on chemicals look like and what they mean Deadbolts on entrances for possible sleepwalkers Locks on bedroom windows Trampolines are a huge source of injuries in children, even with the safety net Prescription and over the counter drugs can look like candy, and some taste like fruit syrup, so must be up high like the alcohol. Electricity rules need to be explained (no forks in the outlets please) not just don't do it, but why it's dangerous. Even small children can picture a bolt of lightning if it's used incorrectly. Many people store bathroom cleaners in the bathroom, all cleaners should be stored in one place up high. Rules about household pets need to be established to avoid danger to the animal and child. Rules about leaving the house only with an adult, or asking permission from an adult are very important as well. Cabinets, bookcases, and entertainment units look like ladders when you are 5 and want the video or book on the top shelf. Children are injured or killed when one tips over onto them as they climb. They should be bolted to the wall. Electrical cords should be wrapped up into a cord turtle (a rubber casing that slides over a coiled cord) or twisted up and elastic banded behind furniture. Okay, I'm sure there's more, but I need to go do that really important safeguard thing now; supervise!
- Q: what colors can i put together, how much laundry detergent do i need to put in?simple answers like that.
- Why not just try to 'sneak' out doors? Maybe 75% chancedepending on where alarm and window are located.
- Q: Hello. I ve recently used a gas mask to go into a asbestos ridden area. However my clothes have been contaminated and so has my mask. How would I go about cleaning them safely? My mask and all clothes are in a garbage bag currently waiting. I am a college student so would prefer a cheap method to clean my clothes (most importantly my mask). Do I need to bring them to someplace special or can I do it safety at home? Am I safe to use the mask again if I remove the dust outside wearing another mask? If I were to enter the area again should I just use contaminated clothes? Help please!
- Replace the door latch and check the alignment of the door hinges, depending on usage the hinge bushings wear causing the door to sag or drop low. This also prevents the door from latching properly. Could also try lubricating the latch assemby in the door (should be done on a regular basis with oil change maintanence)
- Q: So I have two pipes, each 50' each, 6 in diameter, with 6 elbows. What is the static pressure (resistance) in inches of the pipe? Thanks
- Did you put the ferrels on the pipe 1st. If your talking pressure fittings, what I do is after putting the ferrels on the pipes and putting the pipe into connector is wrap one turn of teflon around the ferrel and threads.
- Q: We have a fire and CO detector that I removed from the ceiling to paint it.After I removed it I saw in tiny print to shut it off before removing. I really am not familiar with what it looks like off hand as I'm at work.It is sensitive to the light being turned on and it goes off every time we turn the light on. It says warning, carbon monoxide levels are high, then it says carbon monoxide levels are 0 PPM and stops. They are all new and all of them have gone off at least twice since moving in and only when the light is turned on. They go off within seconds. How can I get this one to stop going off EVERY time? Like I said, I'm at work and not familiar off hand with what's on it. I'd hope there's some kind of reset button? Is it too close to the light? It's maybe 2-3 feet away from the light.I'm sure I can figure it out eventually, but it's just weird to never have a problem this bad with it until now.
- Yes; even at the same joint. I have an outdoor boiler/hydronic system and wish I'd gone with this in the first place rather than the CPVP feed. 20 yrs. with hot water boiler (wood).
