- I use a dyson on my floors and it works wonderful, though i don't use the power head on the hard wood floors and the rotation on the brush can cause damage but the normal head that comes with it is fantastic. Some vaccums have ranges where they are suited for pet hairs I am not sure about dyson as I don't have pets in the house, but with 2 girls in the hosue with long long hair it helps to have a good vaccum and my choice is dyson!

- Q: I was wondering why my vacuum cleaner was leaving trails of crap all over the place... so I flipped it upside down when it was on, and it turns out it does vacuum (quite powerfully, at that) but all the crap gets shot out of another part of the bottom! - YOu probably need to empty it out or change the bag. Clean the filters. The only time Ive ever had tht problem was when the vacuum needed to be cleaned out. Also make sure all the hoses are connected, sometimes they come loose and it will still suck up dirt but it will dump it back into the carpet.

- Shark vacuum cleaners sell for around $200.00, the Kirby's and Rainbow cleaners are perhaps 10 times the price. In this price range, the Shark can not be beat. With two dogs and a cat, you probably need help from the National Guard to keep your home clean.

- I actually agree with the first poster. When I taught daycare all the boys played with trucks and legos and maybe the kitchens, and the girls played with dolls, dress up and did lots of pretending. Now my daughter is a typical girl who loves dolls but I got her a truck for the outside that she puts her doll in so she can have somewhere to sit....might as well of gotten a lawn chair. Most trucks however aren't genderized they are true life. Like my daughters dump truck looks like an actual dump truck. It's yellow like a real one. Would you really want a pink truck? That's not realistic either.

- I have only owned one robot vacuum, and that's a Roomba Discovery. I LOVE IT!!! I do still vacuum weekly with my regular vacuum. Roomba will only get floors, and won't vacuum couches, beds, etc. This may not make a big difference to you, but if you have pets like me it's huge. Anyway, back to the question at hand. I love my Roomba. I sit it in the middle of a room once or twice a week and it keeps everything cleaner. I dust less. It's easier to vacuum when I do use the regular vacuum. If you have large open areas, you may also want to invest in the longer life battery. As for others, I have only heard what other people think. And ALL have said that the only one to own is the Roomba Discovery. I guess I lucked out starting with that one. I saw on the iRobot website the other day that they have a newer one called a Dirt Dog, or something like that. I believe that's designed for pet hair pick up so that's something to keep in mind. Cons - not many. It vacuums for you. You don't do much.
- Q: HOLA! i have one of those kirby vacuum cleaners. Unfortunately i'm out of filter bags or vacuum cleaner bags. I don't want to buy online so can someone tell me where i can buy them. Like walmart or sumthin. They have to be kirby bags, nto just any old vacuum cleaner bag. THANKS
- I have had a Kirby for twenty years and the only time I had a belt break was when something got wrapped around the brush and stopped it and when the bearings at the end of the brush seized. The bearings seized because of hair getting past the end caps and jamming them. I fixed it by removing the brush from the housing, pulling the end caps off and removing the hair. This took sometime as there's not much room between the roller and bearing. Once I had the bearing rotating again I used a needle to carefully prize the rubber seal from the bearing and get some grease into the bearing and replacing the seal. It's a fiddly time consuming job but I got it done. I presume yours has a little light on the head to tell you that the brush is turning. If so then that is due to a small magnet on one end of the brush roller passing a coil mounted in the housing. If the light doesn't work after you put it back together then you have the roller in the wrong way round. Don't listen to those others, I still think it's the best vacuum cleaner I've had.
