- Hello smoking is awful for staining teeth and fillings. Give that up and also certain foods and drinks are very bad for stains. Things such as coke and coffee, tea and dark coloured fruits and curry and red wine. Avoid harsh tooth pastes such as whitening ones as they can scratch the surface and then more stains can set in. Tooth paste from Colgate or Crest is good, normal type tooth paste. For your filling to stain so fast is not normal, unless you are living off curry and coffee and cups of tea all day. I have also read mouth washes with alcohol can weaken and scratch resin fillings too and shorten their life, but I use a mouth wash called Colgate Fluorigard and my dentist recommended it to me and my fillings are not stained that bad and some are over 10 years old. Is the filling surface smooth? It has to be smooth so stains cannot get onto it so easy. If you cannot give up drinks that stain, drink them through a straw which can help. Hope that helps.

- Use only mfg recommended colorant for your specific resin. I've already made all the typical mistakes for you!! I once tried paint colorant, concrete colorant, paint, all of it. IF the resin sets after inandating it with forgien compounds the colors were way dull , they faded quick, and in many cases it ruined my resin and the stuff never finished kicking off and was gooey forever. - Hello there, You can use any electric drill for that purpose. The problem with most electric drills is that the jaws of the chuck do not close small enough for the small diamond drill bits you must use. You can buy a special chuck to replace the chuck on your drill. I have one equipped in that manner that I keep in a drill press. For small hand work I use either a Dremel tool or a flexible arm. The chucks on those are designed to handle the small drill bits. For metal, resin and probably glass you will not need a diamond drill bit (good thing because those get pricey and break easy). For the stones that may vary depending on their hardness. The crystalline stones, like rubies, will need a diamond bit. Softer stones like agate you can use a carborundum bit. For the softest stones, like turquoise, you can use metal bits on them. Also, it is a wise idea to keep the drill bit lubricated to reduce the heating. They make a special lube for that, also used with diamond blade saws, but for most operations water works to keep things cool enough. I assume you are a hobbyist wanting to do some bead work. I would suggest going to a hardware store (like Lowes) and buying a Dremel tool and a few small metal bits. That will work for most of what you will be doing. Later,

- yeah you can save it i have a little tin i keep resin in sometimes you dont have to do anything special with it its actually better if it dries up cause itll be easier to smoke the best way to scrap resin out depends on what you're actually scraping (how big the holes are, etc). Usually a coat hanger, a paper clip, or a safety pin will do the job, but you have to be carful if its a glass pipe cause it could break. Get a paper plate and knock the pipe against your hand as you're scraping so the resin will fall out onto the plate. If the resin is gooey, cause it sometimes is you can rub it on the plate w/ whatever scraping device you're using. After you are done and you go to smoke the resin if the end product is too powdery and you cant put it right into your pipe you could always put a cigarette ash into your pipe first (if you smoke), and then put the resin over it, that way it wont get sucked through the hole.
