- Q: Ok so my kitten is about, just other 3 months old and keeps scratching our leather sofa and everyones blaming me cause its my cat but i cant do anything i dont controll him.
- I am SO glad to see a question like this where you didn't ask about declawing your kitten! Bravo to you! There are several things you can do. 1. Buy him a scratching post or cardboard scratching box. When he scratches the sofa remove him immediately and put him on the post/box. Always praise him when he scratches on the scratch post/box. Once he starts going to the scratch post/box on his own, use a water bottle to spray him when you catch him clawing on the sofa to deter him from scratching on it. 2. You can put clear double sided tape on the sofa where he scratches. They don't like the feel of the sticky on their paws and it will deter him from scratching that area. 3. You can purchase claw covers that you place over his claws at most pet stores. He is still able to scratch himself, but cannot damage your couch. 4. Keep his claws trimmed. My own cats get their claws trimmed every 2 weeks. It's easy to do and saves a lot of furniture lol. 5. You can also try buying cat pheromone spray and spraying around the sofa. They also sell it in a little plug in like an air freshener. Don't worry it doesn't have a smell that humans can smell. Best of luck with your kitty, hope some of this helps!

- No generally sofas does not include cushions in its measurement. The furniture stores considers only the couch frames as cushion sizes differs from customer to customer. I got my sofa set last month from yedra home and hence I have an idea about the measurements of the sofas.

- Q: Ok well I never paid for the ones I have now, they were passed on from one of my sons, It's all fabric,(can't upholster them myself). Their 7 years old,and he had a dog (male) that had fun scratching it up in different parts, and all the lower edges have stains (dog). when you sit on them you sink in, they give me a terrible rash when I sit on them. He told me that a long wood piece in the sofa was broken, but still I told him to give them to me. Now they are rather taking up space in my living room, since I don't use them cause of the rashes. And I'm rather confused of what to do. They are rather big and my apt is not sized for such big living room set.
- It would best serve you to get rid of them. Mostlikely it would cost you more money to repair them and reupholster them than to buy new onew.

- We have a sofa bed, and it seems no matter how you lay you can feel that metal rod in your back, straight thru the mattress! I got a memory foam topper on sale at Elder Beerman's a while back, it was kinda pricey (about $90) but it was soooo worth it. Your back will thank you, especially if you or someone else is sleeping on the sofa bed more than one night. I got a relatively thick one with little triangle-looking things jutting up. Its quite thick so it doesn't fold in with the sofa, so storage is kind of a b*tch, but still worth it. Good luck!
