How to choose suitable inverter?

- No, the rechargeable power pack has different connections than the normal battery pack. The cord won't even attach. Just do what I do - buy at least 2 or 3 sets of AA's, and recharge one set while you use the other. This way you'll always have fresh batteries.

- You can use velcro. They sell both sides and you can cut it to the right fit. If the glue on the back of the vecro isn't strong enough, you can always use your own glue to make it permanent. Its on the inside, so don't sweat it so much.

The Honda IMA batteries are not the most dependable things, and changes Honda made to the battery usage profiles to improve battery life made the fuel economy drop so much there was a class action suit against Honda that was only recently settled. - It may not be the best solution, but you can check the voltage on your batteries. You can see how much is left in them. I believe a AAA battery is normally 1.5v and is dead when there are only 1.2v left. A voltage checker is a handy little tool. You can use it for any batteries you think might be dying. That way you know which ones to throw out, which ones to have replacements ready for, and which ones to save for later use.
