Q:Do I start in the middle like normal tile? What happens if I don‘t start in the middle due to the uneven wall?
You need to measure your room like any other tile and start in the center. Even if your walls are uneven you would still want it to start in the center otherwise it would look strange anyway once you got to the other side of the room...
Q:What brand of tiles good? How to choose?
If the landlord parity price, then the proposed look at the new Pearl Group's brand, Mona Lisa, Hongyu, Enuo, the king, strong and other brands, are more reliable products in the domestic products. Or my answer to other friends of those words: In fact, what brand is not important, it is important that you do not understand the tiles, teach some of the industry to identify the tile good or bad way, hope to help you: I have some years in the tile industry, We must first plan before the decoration of their own renovation costs, the cost of each piece of carefully planned, because the decoration is not only involved in the tiles, it is best to use paper and pen to each of the costs are recorded in advance, So you will not be sales staff around and beyond the decoration budget. You first have to determine what style to buy their own tiles, the current market, roughly two kinds of styles: antique tiles and polished tiles, what brick is not important to buy, it is important to choose how to teach you some of the most practical method of brick, Do not have to be fooled by the salesman, these methods are used by the industry to test the tile is good or bad way, although can not say that 100% can be a good brick, but at least 80% is not wrong, hoping to help everyone!
Q:I bought a co-op that is 80 years old and the bathroom is all original. I like the antique look of it but the tile and in the tub is grungy and has stains. I have tried Pine Sol and Comet but they haven‘t helped much. Does anyone have any advice that doesn‘t involve renting power tools and grinding the floors up?HELP.
Have you tried Bon Ami or ZUD ?
Q:Is polished tiles and tiles a thing?
Tiles include polished tiles. Basically do not care. That is, such as oil and water drops on the timely removal, so as not to suck color, people slide to.
Q:a few tiles are cracked near the sink. How can i fix it temporarily ( is it worth it?) or should i replace the tiles or the whole thing? how would i go about doing that?
If you can find the same tile, or even very similar tile, you should take up the exising tile and replace it with new ones. You will need to start by removing the grout between the tiles. You can buy a grout removal tool at most hardware stores, but it is 10 times easier if you have a rotary tool like a dremel or rotozip. With the grout near the effected tiles removed, you can use a rigid putty knife to pry the damaged tiles off the countertop surface. You may need to use a hammer to tap the tip of the putty knife under the broken tiles. Try not to touch undamaged tiles! Once the tiles are out, use the same putty knife (and hammer if necessary) to remove all or most of the mortar and grout from the exposed surface. You will need to mix new thinset or mortar to lay the new tile in. Lowes and Home Depot usually sell thinset and grout in smaller packages for small jobs or repair work. If the tiles are small, you will not be able to properly spread the mortar. Put a dollop of mortar in the center of where each tile should go and press the tile ontop of it to spread the mortar around. If it leaks out the side and comes up to the surface of the tile, make sure to clean it up before it dries. Once the new tiles are in place, let the mortar dry for a few hours (longer if it is humid). You can then mix the grout and spread it in the gaps near the new tile. Let the grout dry for about 10 or 15 minutes and then wipe the tiles clean and smooth the new grout with a damp sponge. The mortar and grout can be mixed with just water, especially for such a small job. Some stores might try to get you to buy the liquid additives for each. These are designed to keep the mortar and grout pliable for longer periods of time and are not necesssary for small jobs. Good Luck. If you need more info on a given step just say so.
Q:The classification of various tiles and the specific process
Tile classification, depends on what place, useful wall polished tiles, the ground also has polished tiles, as well as pool tiles, etc.
Q:Used 600x300 glazed tile for the whole outdoor building. 30% tile gum and cement mixed for the work. 6 months later, the Tiles begun to fall off the wall leaving the cement still strongly bonded on the wall. I mean, the tiles ONLY fall donw, not with the cement. Note: We usually soak SOME ceramic tile with water before pasting them, IF the type call for that. But the type is apparently out of the case of water solution.Granite is even heavier than that and yet lasts virtually with building.

Q:I am am re-tiling the kitchen counter. Please help. Thanks.
I tile every day of my life, and usually hang out in DIY. Tile spacers come in two sizes, 1/4 and 1/8. For a counter top I suggest 1/8. You already know they look like (+) signs, and many have rounded tips. They are also sold in what looks like a round CAP with the plus sign under that allows for corner spacing and alignment. I do not use corners specifically, in laying the spacer flat, primarily through experience, but many suggest that method. You would set a piece of tile, then another in close proximety, using the spacers to align and keep the tiles at an exatc distance from each other. The spacer also makes a great scoop for wiping out excess mortar or mastic that squeezes up into the grout lines. I suggest 1/8 for countertops because of the purpose of the top and having the least amount of absorbent material, against the greater flat/flush surface that a counter top should be. Without knowing at all, your tile, or design, I also prefer a tile style that has bullnose sold in the same style allowing a back splash, and counter top edge/facing. I can't recall the name of REVERSE bullnose, but it would be used where the countertop, butts/meets the back splash. You may get suggestions that ramble, as I am, about sealing the grout, and you should be using a poly blend mortar and grout anyway. I'm not strictly opposed to sealers, but they do become a regular, life long process, and I am opposed to any surface finishes that come in contact with food. Obviously cutting boards work. Steven Wolf Just my two sense
Q:My bf and I are removing the tiles from the bathroom wall with a chisel and hammer; however, we live in an apartment building, so I was wondering if there‘s an easier way to remove the tiles by softening the grout around them.
Woe ! do you have permission from your landlord! If you do.. I think that is the only way to do it . Allot of hard work. I may be wrong..it would be nice to see if there is a way. I will check back: for the answer.:)
Q:We currently have vinly tile in our tiny kitchen. We want to upgrade but want something that looks nice and is easy to install. What would you recommend (not wood)? Also, would we have to take up the vinyl floor tiles or install on top of it?
you can lay vinyl peel and stick tiles on top of your existing sheet vinyl if your sheet vinyl is in good condition and stuck down well, you can apply a skimcoat of feathering patch on top of the vinyl they sell an epoxy additive instead of water to mix with so that you have good adhesion to the sheet vinyl I bought my peel and stick tiles at Lowes along with the skimcoat mix. Tiles were roughly $1 a piece and look much better than the sheet vinyl. I liked Lowes selection of tiles better than Menards and Home Depot. I redid two bathrooms, front entry way and kitchen this summer
We are a professional ceramic factory which is specializing in the production of polished porcelain tile and rustic porcelain tile with italian production lines .
