1. For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 60* 120 available?
—— Yes, 60*120 is available. This size is mainly used for domestic market and used for cutting into Step and Riser for stair case.
2. What is the glossy degree for this tile?
—— Normally the glossy degree is over 90 degree. We call it high glssy degree.
3. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?
—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers.
- Q:I bought 12 x 12 ceramic tile from Lowe‘s branded as SURFACE SOURCE with a PEI rating 4. I bought each tile for $0.58 each. I want to use the tile for the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and living room. The tile was made in Mexico. I think the tile was being discontinued at Lowe‘s. Thus, I think that is why the price was so low. Did I make a mistake? The tile looks good and feels good so I do not see a problem with. I need an honest opinion.
- Porcelain tiles are usually baked at higher temperatures than ceramic tiles. The higher temperature usually means better grade. Most porcelain tiles today have a PEI rating of 5, or suitable for heavy-duty traffic. Be careful about what is advertised as porcelain tile. Since not all ceramic tile is porcelain. I believe porcelain tile starts at a rating of 3 and goes up to 10 for commercial use so It would be a good tile. I suppose it would be suitable for residential use in your home. I don't see any reason for not using it, unless you expect it to stay perfect for 40 years. DIY Doc you get a thumbs up from me. You seem to try hard and give good advice.
- Q:The tile grout on my bathroom floor is white in some parts, but dark where husband stands next to the sink/toilet... How can I clean it without having to re-grout it? Can I just spray bleach on or will that ruin the tile?
- If the magic eraser doesn't work get a Drymil tool (I might have spelled it wrong) take the first layer of grout out then replace it it takes a little time but it turns out beautifully.

- if you have a grinder use it to smooth out the cement or at least scrape it down with heavy scraper. This is something that your professional installer guy should have done when he poured your pan. you need it smooth surface to lay the tile. I'm assuming your laying 1 or 2 tiles with the pan sloping to the drain. If you have any chuncks on the pan it will make you tile look bad and won't set properly.

- Tiles are OK for a change but which tiles? There are variety of materials offered in tiles like clay/ceramics, porcelain, PVC etc. You can segregate these into hard and flexible category. The wooden floors are semi-hard floors. They are neither rigid nor flexible but fairly closer to the flexible surfaces. Flexible floors can not take the hard materials like clay or porcelain tiles etc. they are fit for flexible materials like carpets, PVC, laminated boards or wooden tiles. For a mobile home with wooden floors carpets or PVC floors are the best. i will not recommend rigid flooring like concrete or ceramic tiling. You can easily find tile-finish PVC or laminated board flooring in variety of colors. Try some if you are fed up with carpets and looking for a change.

- If there are 121 tiles and both tiles and floor are square, this means there are 11 by 11 tile used on the floor (square root of 121 is 11) So if we exclude the edges, this means we have 9 by 9 tiles And there are 9 tiles on each diagonal but the one in the center is shared so we have total of 9+9-1=17 tiles on diagonals of this inner tiles with 9 by 9 So for 9 by 9 tiles we have 9x9=81 tiles and excluding 17 tiles on diagonals; the answer is 81-17=64 tiles.
- Q:I‘m installing a kitchen back splash of 1 x 1 glass tile. Right now there is drywall where the tile will be. I‘ve read that it is better to use cement backing board as a substrate. Is this really necessary or can I just use thin-set to mount the tile directly to the drywall and then grout as usual? Thanks for your help!
- Hello Samsonite, I would have to disagree with using mastic. If you were using something that had a good absorption rate it's be different, but glass is so dense it'd take forever for the mastic to set up. Most manufacturers of glass tiles recommend using highly modified thinset (Customs Building Product's Megaflex at HD or TEC's Superflex at a tile supplier). I have found the Superflex to have the most brilliant white color when cured, providing the best background for your colors to shine. Drywall will be fine. You may want to key in the mortar you choose by flat troweling it on the drywall before combing your notches. This helps to ensure 100% coverage.
