Design Features of High-performance pipeline ball valve-reduced bore:
Body of high-performance pipeline ball valve is forged structure.The connection type for body and vice-body can be BB(bolted connection)and WB(welded connection).The WB(welded connection)and the LWB(Fully-welded extended stem)structure isadopted for buried ball valves,as shown below.

The special structure of valve seat seal of High-performance pipeline ball valve-reduced bore:
Floating structure means seat reciprocally can move along channel direction,so as to guarantee the ball and seat are tightly sealed.
(Ⅰ)Valve seat structure suitable for different occasions and sealing requirements
Valve seat can be designed as a standard single-piston effect and specific dual piston effect,Figure1 shows single-piston effect-inletside seal;Figure2 shows Dual Piston effect-outlet-side seal;Figure3 shows special dual piston effect sealing structure
(Ⅱ)Multi-level structure of the valve seat seal
As shown in Figure4,there are two elastic O-ring in the valve seat ring-ring A and ring B.Sealing ring A spring-loaded through the valve seat so that the sealing surface of sealing ring A tightly fit with ball surface to form an initial seal.When there is pressure in the system medium,the piston force
produced by the piston force produced by the piston effect of size difference makes elastic deformation of the ring A Ershi sealing surface and ball more closely fit the surface to form a re-sealing;meanwhile,due to ring A in the medium resulted in elastic deformation under pressure so that the sealing ring B is also closely fit the surface of ball for the formation of the second stage seal.When the system medium pressure increasing,it will have an enormous pressure in the valve seat ring A and ring B,so that the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,and then the metal valve seat ring surface and the ball surface sealing together to form a third level of metal to metal seal.
(Ⅲ)The assisted valve seat sealing equipment
Based on the actual service condition,medium requirement,sealing requirement,etc.,the assisted valve sealing equipment will be considered to be necessary or not.The assisted valve sealing equipment is a one-way valve installed outside of valve body that can prevent medium leakage and can inject sealing grease into valve body by external force.When the assisted valve seat sealing equipment is required,valve seat ring shall be design and processed with injection grove and hole to connect the assisted valve seat sealing equipments.Such equipment can prevent the medium by the sealing of injection of rease.Refer to Figure5 for reference.
Multi-level structure of stem sealing
Figure6 shows the stem multi-level sealing by adopting"O"ring,flexible graphite and grease injection;"O"ring achieves the first level stem sealing;Replaceable flexible graphite realizes the second level sealing by the compression of packing sleeve and packing flange;And the third evel sealing is realized by installing assisted sealing injection valve to the packing box,and by designing with the injection groove and hole to connect with the stem injection valve,which can inject grease.
Unique and safe seat structures of High-performance pipeline ball valve-reduced bore:
Ball valve fireproof design is implementation of the API607,API6FA standards.According to service conditions and user requirements,ball valve can be designed as a fireproof structure.
(Ⅰ)Fireproof structure of seat
As shown in figure7,there is composite fireproof ring,which are combined with graphite and stainless steel wire in the seat.Once the soft ring is burnt out in case of a fire,the fireproof ring and seat ring will form a piston structure through the spring to load the valve body.That will push and closely contact the metal seal surface of the seat ring to the body surface,So as to prevent a lot of medium from leaking from the burnt place of the seat ring,and prevent the fire from expending.
(Ⅱ)Fireproof structure(body and bonnet)
The seal gasket for bolt connecting valve body and valve bonnet,are used fireproof stainless steel wire and flexible graphite gaskets.Gasket compression load through the bolts and ultimately,ensure the valve body and valve cover between the metal to metal contact,so that the valve can with stand more high load,but also improve the fire safety of the valve.But for the full welded ball valve,the valve body and cover is welded structure,that fundamentally eliminate the possibillity of leakage of the valve housing.Even in the case of fire damage,there will be no leak.
(Ⅲ)Fireproof structure(body/packing and stem)
The body and packing connection gasket adopts fireproof stainless steel wire and flexible graphite gaskets.The stem packing adopts flexible graphite to ensure no leakage in case of fire.

- Q:I've just been told that I need to replace the valve cover gasket on my 97 Volvo 850.....to the tune of $650.00 .....ouch.....is it that difficult to fix?......can you use the red gasket sealant? is there a difference between the head gasket and the valve cover gasket.......yeah I know there probably is.......but when I look on line all i can find is head gaskets......no valve cover gaskets........which scares me into thinking they are the same thing.....i'm hopeing i'm wrong......if its the valve cover gasket it looks like it would be right on top of the engine and fairly accessable.......or am I wrong......sure would like to save the $650 if it is something i can do myself!!!!
- valve covers are easy to remove and replace. don't pay 650 bucks for that. yes, you can use the red sealant, but I would suggest high temperature sealant, usually comes in black, it's oil resistant also. just move anything out of your way, unbolt the valve cover, clean the surfaces off the gasket will touch (cover and engine) apply gasket maker and re-attach.
- Q:Can a leaking car tyre valve be repaired/ replaced, or is it more viable to get a new tyre fitted with a new valve?
- The actual valve can be unscrewed from the valve stem and replaced. If t's the valve stem that needs replacing this is done from inside the wheel/tyre combination. It may be possible to deflate the tyre, push one side inwards off the rim and get to the valve stem, but it's a lot easier to take it to a tyre depot and have it done properly. The real difficulty with a DIY job is getting the tyre sealed on the rim again. With an air line it's easy to put air in fast enough to reseat the tyre, with a foot pump it's almost impossible
- Q:Its stuck to an angle where the metal parts of the wheel block the air pump from letting it secure itself around the valve so i cant put air in, it all comes out the sides, i dont want to have to replace anything for i dont know much about bikes, but any solution to my problem? Thanks
- Take the inside valve out of the tire stem and either straighten the valve where it's bent or buy a new valve.If your valve stem cap has the raised tool to remove the valve with you won't need to buy a valve stem tool.
- Q:Valves regarding WC's
- A flush valve (if you are talking about a toilet) is the flapper at the bottom of the tank. I suppose it could also be called a drop valve. At any rate, a flush valve is designed to rest in place preventing water from passing. When the flush valve is raised, trapped air in the bell of the flapper will cause it to float as high as possible, allowing water to pass without restriction. When the water level is low enough the flapper will float back down and seal the opening, thus allowing the tank to refill and be ready for another flush. Good luck. :)
- Q:My house has hot water baseboard heat. In the basement, there is a wood burning stove (now it is like a radiator) that has the pipe system going through it Between the pipe in and the pipe out is a valve. Does it have to be opened or closed all the way? There is no other way to control the heat in the basement I was thinking of opening the valve half way, but I do not want to destroy the valve.

- Q:hello my names matt and i have a 1997 eclipse 2.0 non turbo with 94k miles and the semi circul seal on my valve cover gasket has a small leak that i see oil dripping and i dont think the pcv valve has ever bin replaced could any of those cause my exhaust to burn oil maby a bad fuel injector? theres no oil in the top of the engine on the spark plugs when i check them all, the piston rings and the headgasket r not worn or cracked so idk what it could be some one please help
- a leaking valve cover could only cause oil to burn when it drip,s onto the exhaust manifold that would be mainly under your hood...a plugged or bad P.C.V valve could cause crankcase pressure to build could cause minor oil consumption....if your sure your piston ring,s are in good condition then the valve seal,s would be the next suspect...change your positive crankcase ventilation valve first.....it would help to know more detail...like...does it burn more at start up or hard acceleration...that would indicate valve seal,s or guide,s....another thing would be just how much oil does it consume per mile....more detail will insure a more accurate answer...good luck!
- Q:What is the easiest and best way to fix a leaking shut-off valve on a toilet?
- Replace it there fairly cheap.Usally all you need is a wrench an pipe thread tape and a new shut off valve bably less than 20 bucks total.Just turn off the water an flush the toilet.Place a pot under the connection so it will catch any remaining water as you loosen the connection.There are 2 large nuts at each end of the shut off valve.Turn them conter clockwise to loosen an clockwise to tighten.Wrap the threads with pipe thread tape on both ends before installing the new shut off.Its probably one of the easiest do it yourself plumbing jobs there is.Once you have the new shut off installed an tightened turn the water back on an check for leaks.If it is leaking you may have to tighten your connection a little more.Good luck,I hope this helps.
- Q:My third valve is always sticking, despite the fact that I oil them thoroughly every other day. It scrapes the sides of the case when I take it out/put it in, it's almost as if the valve is too big for it. Often times it will stick and I'll have to unscrew it and physically pull it out for it to be functional again.I've inspected it, and the inside looks just like the others which are fine. I've tried washing it, oiling it, and putting a trace amount of vaseline on it. What is the problem?
- Check the spring and plastic valve guide on top of the spring. I've seen these stick and the results are quite annoying, but once the spring moves up and down freely, so will the valve.

- If he is confused walk away. No, not really. The head comes off and maybe the head is still good but the valves and valve guides are replaced. While the head is off you have 2 individual pots(the cylinder) same like a single cylinder motorcycle. That is one with one piston. You got 4 pots with 4 pistons. - - - Doing a complete engine rebuild using a kit is cheaper than doing each one individually x's 4. as if one has popped off, the others are near that point. I am guessing #3 cylinder exhaust valve popped off. Or see where you can get some rebuilt heads( or new ones) but chances are you need pots because you are a smoker. Maybe if you ask around to various machine shops, to see if they have a rebuilt VW engine kicking about. Sometimes they do. Might be cheaper than a kit..
