- Your question needs to have more information provided in order for me to assist you better. When talking about chairs, have you looked on the underside of the seat area to see if it is screwed down and removable? Or are they like parsons chairs that are completely covered with fabric from the seat to the back of chair? You need to be more specific on type of chair before I can tell you how to do this. If the seat portion of the chair is removable(look underneath, and unscrew screws holding it on) Take seat off. Place seat of chair faced down onto fabric of choice, cut out fabric using chair seat as guide. Draw up side of fabric to be sure you have ample fabric to come to bottom of chair. Wrap seat as of you were wrapping a gift and staple with heavy gage stapler. Screw back on seat. If this is a solid fabric chair, consider buying slipcovers or making your own out of sheets.

- you can fix some beautiful art in cloth on the back of the chair and add some threat counts on the sides of golden or copper color as black with look beautiful with those color combinations .

- You have to look at the chair in its original context. Look at other furniture from 1929 and you won't see anything else like the Barcelona chair. Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich were pioneers for designing this chair from heir choice of materials, minimal lines, construction (stainless steel had just been developed). When properly built to original specs, it takes a lot of high quality materials and skilled labor to produce -- around 28 hours of labor is involved. $3900 is not much for 28 hours of labor considering all the sales people, craftsmen, managers, suppliers, delivery people, laborers needed to build and move one chair. Plus all those people require work buildings, offices, insurance, cars/trucks, phones... etc. $3900 only gets you the cheaper model, there is one made of higher grade materials at $6,000. When the chair was originally designed, it did not sell for that dollar amount, the price has been adjusted for inflation, but it still was not cheap back then, it is and will always be an exclusive item. Surely, the chair can be mass-produced by machine now and sold for cheap at Target, but then it wouldn't be an exclusive item anymore. BMW and Lexus could cheapen their products for everyone to have, but then, why bother? There are Corollas and Ford Focus for the ones who don't want to/can't spend the money. By the way, it's not a simple chair at all, it's very complex, it just looks simple because in the past 7 decades, other chair designers were inspired by that iconic design. It;s iconic because it was ground-breaking, an original thought at the time. To say it is simple is to say paper is simple... yes it sort of is, but it took humans millions of years to get around to inventing it.

- If your floors are actual hardwood, the rolling chair could definitely do some damage. I had solid hardwood flooring in my previous home and didn't think the rolling chair could possibly hurt it (after all, it's a smooth surface!), but I ended up having to get one of the plastic mats to protect the floor after only a few weeks because the finish was starting to wear away in places. I also think it depends on the TYPE of wood your floors are, however, because some are more resistant than others. If your floors are wood laminate, the chair won't damage them! Even though hardwood is beautiful and feels so natural, one of the huge benefits of wood laminate is that it is so much more durable - especially for things like rolling chairs, heavy-traffic areas, and pet claws.

- it's totally a confidence thing you just have to know you want that chair and you can't let your nerves get in the way. think about it if you know the music inside and out you deserve the chair! your in controll. tap your foot along to keep a SLOW steady tempo. it may also help to practice in front of some of your friends ahead of time to get used to people being around. In the end you can do anything you set your mind to if you are confident and there's no reason not to be. If you make a mistake no big deal rock the rest of it. =] good luck you'll be great.

- Just okorder , or Pennywise, or consignment stores, or stores that sell used office equipment. My wife and I got our chairs for free on FreeCycle from a coupe who was moving. Of if you're satisfied with your current chair, just want something softer for your backside, just go buy a chair cushion. You can get these at Walmart, Kmart, Target, Costco (sometimes) Bed Bath Beyond...
