- If you're talking about the lever on motherboard at back of slot you wont have to push it down to install the card. You simply press the card in firmly but gently. Most of the time, but not all the time, you will hear it click when it locks in. You only pull down on the lever when removing the card to unlock it. You don't have to plug any power connectors into the card as it gets its power from the PCI-ExpressX16 slot.

- 1790 watts at 230 volts is about 8 amps. I would use a power cable rated for at least 10 amps or more. You would need a wire of about 8.3 sq mm, 1.63 mm diameter, or 14 awg to run this load. 2.5 sq mm is the equivalent of 24 awg wire, 0.5 mm diameter, or rated for at 3.5 amps. The unit couldn't draw enough current to run properly with this wire.
- Q:im curious to know if using multiple small cables to power my amp is the same or better than using a single big one??like do three 4gauge wires give more power than one 1/0 gauge wire? or is it worse?and how do i know if my amp needs more current?? THANKS
- a lot worse actually. if you think you are gonna get a 2nd amp, go for bigg wire an 1/0 guage could beat 5 or more 4 guages, because the current would be very accurate. the only time you split ur wire is to go to a diff amplifier that will draw its own current, otherwise ur probably not being accurate with it. ur amp needs more current if it doesn't stay consistent or if it goes into protection. ask another question, and include statts on ur amplifier like ohm loads and RMS and what fuses are on the side of it

- A word of advice ... if you plan to install Windows on this new drive you will need to prepare a driver disk for the SATA adapter. During the first stages of Windows install it will ask you to press F6 to install any third party drivers for RAID or SCSI .... without it Windows may not detect the adapter hence the SATA drive. regards, Philip T

- Some PS3s have universal power supply. To know which one you have you need to open it. If you don't want to open it (and void the warranty) - use power converter. Note: for PS3 you'll need at least 400 Watt. As for power cable itself - depends on the socket on your power converter.
- Q:Hi, my old laptop has broken: when i try to put the power cable into the socket on the laptop, it only goes in on a certain angle and never stays there even when taped, so its impossible to get the laptop on for more than a few seconds. - you will no longer get lots money for a computing device without stress. right here is what to do: (a million) purchase a caddy ( a container that turns the stress into an exterior USB stress) ?10 - ?20 (2) take the stress out of the previous device, positioned it in the caddy, connect it to a distinctive computer (3) use the different computer to wipe the stress (4) flow the stress back to the computing device (5) sell the computing device (and the caddy, in case you do no longer want it; notwithstanding that's properly worth conserving it for emergencies).
- Q:Im going to get a new graphics card. I am getting the XFX Geforce 9800 GT and it needs 1 six pin PCI Express power cable. It comes with a cable to convert 2 molex cables into 1 six pin pci power cable. Problem is, is that dont have any molex cables available. I have 4 SATA power cables. - Given that your PSU has enough power to run the card... I think it might work. However, how can you be out of Molex cables? That makes me think you have a weak PSU.
