- The HDD power cable has no clips, the SATA cable usually does though. The ATX power cable especially (20/24pin) will give quite a lot of resistance, just make sure to keep pushing the clip down while pulling up equally, meanwhile, keep an eye on the motherboard, it'll flex and bend as you pull it up, but yes, you will have to pull quite hard to get things out, harder than you would normally think, I was the same as you, I keep thinking if I pull/push too hard or force things they'll break, but components are far more robust and resistant than you think.

- Usually there is a supplied 2 Molex to PCI-E but it is better to have the PCI-E cable built in. Some PSU's do include the PCI-E you can easly check too!

- I all my years, I've yet to see a power supply that doesn't come with a new power cable. Thing is, tho, the power cable is standard in 99.9% of power supplies. One will pretty much work on another.

- Storage cables have basically 3 types: IDE, SATA and SCSI, and are referred to by those names. Power connectors are sometimes called molex connectors after the company that first made them, or just power connectors and their applicable voltage they supply.

- You will need a amp kit. Most Kragens auto parts stores have them or walmart. There are a lot of different colors to amp kits so there is no way to tell you for sure. When you have your new amp kit it will make a lot more sense. Hope this helps
- Q: My power supply cable to the motherboard is only 20 pin and the motherboard has a slot to take a 24 pin power cord. The 20 pin will fit but 4 slots are just left empty. The motherboard LED light comes on showing it has power. When I try to boot up the motherboard runs but the hard drive doesn't boot or the screen isn't working. Could this be b/c of not having a 24 pin power cable?I know the video card and HD work b/c I just transfered them from another motherboard that was a 20 pin. Any ideas?
- yes it will... most of the power cords are 20pins now... the mobos are built for 24 just for compatibility with some rare power supplies... just stick it in all the way to the left and leave the right 4 pins empty... about the boot problems check your RAM speed... more than likely you have old RAM sticks that cannot run on your new mobo (by the looks of it it seems like you just purchased a new one)... most new motherboard will not take anything less than 400MHz... I think you will have to purchase new RAM too... that is usually the case...

- What do you mean by power cable, it doesnt really matter, its in your case anyway and the 600W is enough to power most decent GPUs for a budget go for a AMD HD 6850/6870, a bit higher go for a GTX 560 TI or AMD HD 7870.
