- You need a few area rugs. In a studio apartment you cant put in your own carpeting since I am sure you are renting. I would use the rugs to split up your spaces. Use one for the living area, sleeping area, and dinning area. Make sure that they arent identical but flow well together. - Q: I got a flat woven rug and it keeps getting caught in my door. It drives me nuts. I just want to cut an arc out of it for my door. Is there a way to go about that?
- Probably hard to do if you're talking about an area rug. Scissors don't usually cut through rugs very well, even very good scissors. A utility knife doesn't do it very well either. And whatever you cut it with, the cut edges are going to fray. Better to move that rug back a bit and get something flatter for just inside the door.
- Q: I just dropped a candle on my light colored carpet and red candle wax is everywhere. Any ideas on how to remove it?
- Place ice-cubes on the wax until the ice starts to melt then scrape away as much wax as possible with a blunt knife, then lay sheets of paper towel over the wax.Using a cool iron go over the area.If a greasy mark remains rub with a little tea tree oil. I would try it on a small section first as this is used on material so am not sure it will work on carpet.
- Q: My radiator started leaking and now my carpet is pretty much ruined. I've heard nothing but good about the Rug Doctor machine, but I don't know anything about using or renting the machine. Does anyone know how much it'll cost? Are the attachments needed in order to work the machine? Does the cleaning solutions come with it or is it an additional charge? - Okay I have used one before I owned my own carpet cleaner. I really liked it. The cleaning solutions are an extra charge. I don't remember getting any attachments. I think when I rented one it was like $60 plus the solutions.

- Q: I am looking for a recipe that I can put in a spray bottle. A lot of the homemade concoctions I'm finding are ones that require dumping and rubbing into the stain, which I don't want to do as I have hardwood underneath and I've already overwashed my carpets from when my dogs were puppies. A lot of the store bought cleaners have discolored my carpets. I would like a solution I can spray on and blot up. Thanks
- Depends on the style of carpet and type of stain. The best all rounder would be Solution of 1 teaspoon of approved carpet detergent with 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 litre of warm water.

- Highly doubt it. Asbesto's was found in ceiling and floor tile in a compressed manner. Also was used to rap pipes as insulation, but inside the rapping the asbesto's is powdery. So your alright, but wear a face mask, those carpet fibers are yucky.
- Q: I am away from my horses at the moment and i have to call each day to have them rugged. I couldnt get a hold of the lady today and they may not be rugged. its winter here (not snowing here ever) and they have always had doona type rugs on of a night. will they be ok and not get sick?im so worried i feel sick
- As long as your horses have a decent hair coat, place to get out of the wind (a wall is fine) and hay to eat they will be just fine. Even if it was snowing they'd be fine-freezing rain is the worst thing for them. Stop worrying-horses have extremely efficient heating systems.
- Q: ok my rug burn scar is peeling by itself and the skin under is white should i be worried....will that leave a scar??
- As a rule of thumb, rug burns are too shallow to cause scarring. You will probably have some residual redness in the area after it finishes healing, but that is not a scar, and will go away in a few days when replaced by healthy skin tissue. Even if you do get a scar, it will just be flat and the color will fade in a few weeks and it won't be noticeable. It sounds like yours is almost healed, so there's not all that much you can do. Don't scratch it, don't peel away the skin. If it's very itchy you can moisturize.
