Technical features:

By the great effort, we have developed the first biomass boiler without grate. There are three kinds of hot water boilers as following:

A: blue touchscreen control system, burning any biomass fuel without dark smoke.

B: colorful touchscreen control system. motor frequency control system. drain the coked fuel in the combustion procession. burning all coked biomass fuel.

C: large colorful touchscreen control system. intelligent control system, internet control system. drain the coked fuel in the combustion. burning all coked biomass fuel.

Characteristics:

1. Different from tradition vertical boiler, any parts of boiler could be checked and repaired. Even the fire pipes in the boiler could be replaced without boiler disassembled.

2. It adopts world leading patent combustion system. Boilers without grate will need no more grate transporting to solve coked fuel burning problem.

3. High temperature in the hearth could be controlled to make sure that temperature is enough high to do biomass pyrolysis gasification and complete combustion. With specially designed airflow spraying, tar will not be attached to the hearth after long-time combustion and pipes will not be blocked by the attached tar, it will do little effect on the boiler's efficiency after long time using, this is what users will neglect. Long-time energy saving is what matters.

4. As store is directly connected to the hearth, many biomass boilers catch fire easily. Applying anti-back fire structure and back-flow prevention device, so that only biomass fuel can be put into hearth, high temperature airflow can't flow into bunker. We are equipped with safety fire protection device, even when the back-flow prevention device fails, automatic monitoring feeding system will start to force high temperature into hearth. Boiler will stop working only after cleaning all the fuels.

5. Change the traditional boiler feeding way, decrease the feeding height of bunker, increase the capacity, reduce the labor strength.

6. Traditional biomass boiler only monitor output water temperature, Longxiao series adopts touchscreen control system, clients can monitor the parameters of temperature of input water, output water, smoke, fuels in bunker, combustion in hearth etc. After the change of relevant data, it will timely remind the user of maintenance, so that to allow user to get more information about running status and energy-saving data.

Q: give little explanation: I am surprised by this question as actually iron has, and is, used in boiler manufacture. You have not said of what kind of boilers you are thinking. In general, iron has been replaced by steel as steel is both stronger and cheaper, and can be welded which makes the manufacturing process cheaper too. Cast iron is also more brittle than steel.

Q: I tried to bleed my gas boiler this morning and I think I must have done something wrong. I opened a spigot on the return-pipes for each of the three zones. Not much water came out - a gallon per zone maybe. Then the water stopped coming out altogether. Now all three zones aren't functioning. The pressure release valve keeps opening and releasing a lot of steam - indicating there's a lot of air in there, right? The pressure gauge on the furnace is at zero psi but the temperature is at about 210. I understand the automatic fill valve is supposed to automatically add water to the system as needed. Maybe that's not working. Any ideas? Q: I'm having trouble with physics revision and heat transfer. There's a question in the book about whether a boiler should be dark and matt or light and shiny, and I just don't understnad! Can someone explain it to me?: Is the boiler in your book at the focus of a solar collector? If so then dark and matt is good otherwise it really doesn't matter. If it's a wood, straw,dung or fossile fuel boiler then it is effectively surrounded by (or surrounds) a firebox ( if the outside of the firebox is light and shiny then that's great but it has nothing to do with the boiler) the one exception I can see is where you have a fan driven gas boiler where the main heat exchnger is actually inside the boiler and the outer surface of the boiler should be light and shiny to cut down on waste heat radiated from it. So if radiative transfer of heat out of your boiler is a problem then it should be light and shiny but if the boiler works by absorbing the maximum amount of heat by radiation from a source which is much hotter than the boiler surface then black and matt.

Q: I need a rough size estimate for the boiler room in a project I'm designing. It's a mountain resort building, mixed use, multi-family, 4 stories, 180K finished. I'm in SD and need to rough in the boiler room.: I agree, talk to a manufacturer of packaged boilers and they will be glad to help you with sizing and physical dimensions. I believe Cleaver Brooks is another vendor that does small boilers. You could get a preliminary sort of estimate by estimating max steam use for each steam user (each space heating unit that uses steam, each hot water heater that uses steam, basically every place where a steam pipe stubs out). Add the max steam use of each user and that will give you a conservative estimate of the lbs/hr of steam you will need. This might help you with your discussion with the vendor.

Q: The boiler is leaking a sticky brown liquid out the top and there is a steady drip coming out the bottom of the boiler as well, Now i have to turn the water supply off in order to stop the leaking but there is still water in the actual boiler system???: Check the cold water pipe, they may have turned the hot water off by using the isolator on the cold inlet of the boiler, no need to do this as the main stop tap would have the same effect, and the wash mac taps isolate washing machine supply anyway. If not the valve, I would say either the heat exchanger has sprung a leak, or the auto air vent is passing, the pressure will drop on the gauge if this is so. Neither are likely to have been caused by the washer installer whether he was dodgy or not.

Q: What is conductivity in a boiler?: It normally refers to the purity of the water. Water in a boiler needs to be extremely pure and devoid of salts. Salts will leave a residue, which will reduce the efficiency of a boiler, and may eventually block the tubes. So the lower the conductivity the better the water quality.

Water tube -= tubes that are expose to the furnace. where the water is heated in the furnace. 3. Super heater tube = where the steam is converted into super heated steam. 4. Furnace =where the coal is burn to heat the water tube. 5. Furnace Air blower= use to blow air into the furnace in to help burn the coal. 6. Furnace Bed = a moving bed of steel where the coal is lied and burn. 7. Exhaust Fan = suck the exhaust gas inside the furnace to be vented to the atmosphere. 8. Water pump = supply water to the boiler drum. 9. Fuel feeder = where the coal is feed to furnace. 10. Safety valve = vent the steam if steam pressure exceed the maximum desire pres. 11. Sight glass = where the water level is monitored manually. 12. Ash container = where the coal ash is dump. 13. Day Tank = where the boiler water is stored.
