Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded,selects high quality forged material,and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body.This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others,and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter,lighter and stronger.Besides,the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing,makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball.The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion,and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements.When plate adopted,the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium,but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve.The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium.This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves,and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used,and the cost is cut down.

As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring,set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded,which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat;When there is pressure generated from medium,the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference,thus the second seal forms.When the medium pressure is rising.It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

As the above graphic instruction,the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition,medium requirement,seal requirement,etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve,installed on the body,which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force.When secondary seal is required,there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring.The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball,and then stop the leakage.

You may be able to do this but there are usually two pipes going to the radiator and they may be tied in with a radiator on another floor. Be prepared for some water to come streaming out and do this when there is no hot water in the system. If you have the new valve ready to go with pipe dope or Teflon tape on it you will not get too much water coming out and it will not be under much pressure if you remember to shut off the water supply going to the automatic filler valve at the furnace. Plastic sheets and towels or rags should be in place just in case to catch the water and don't panic or it will take you longer to get the new valve started in the hole. A helper with a thumb to go over the hole to stop the water flow and give you time to do what you need to do may be required so have one of those handy as well.
Q:How do you clean an EGR valve?
You will have to use an appropriate size ratchet wrench set. The valve is held in place by 2 bolts, usually. It is round and flat, and has a diaphragm inside the metal cannister. Once you have removed it, invert it. It will be full of unburned carbon which is easily removed with spray Gum-out and a small brush. If you are unlucky, and the internal diaphragm has broken, you will need to replace the valve. This is pretty rare, though. EGR stand for exhaust gas recirculation. This is what the thingy does. Under acceleration, vacuum from the engine causes the valve to open and scavange exhaust gas from the attaching pipe. Usually, and I should not write this, I just plug the vacuum on these things to prevent them from opening at all. Then I install a set of Bosch Platinum, Fusion or nippondenso Twin Tip plugs. This will reduce pollution, anyway, which is the goal of having an EGR valve. WHen it is diconnected, no carbon will get sucked back into the intake system, and the engine will stay cleaner inside. If you are smart, you will begin using Mobil One 0W-30 oil. This will improve your gas mileage, keep the inside of your engine cleaner, and you will only need to change it once every year or so. This oil will help prevent the formation of unwanted sludge and carbon deposits. You will be amazed at how much gasoline you end up saving!!!
Q:does my 96 accord have an oriface valve?
It uses an expansion valve inside the evaporator assembly, part 11 in the first source. If the evaporator valve is not working the compressor will be damaged - by no oil if the valve stays closed or by slugs of liquid spilling out of the evaporator if it sticks open. Fortunately, orifices and expansion valves are very reliable. I bet a standard A/C service (about $100) will get you cool again. If you do anything to disturb the refrigerant loop (trying to charge it at home, trying to change refrigerant system parts) you will only spend more... probably a lot more.

If you are looking for just an open or shut valve, not a 0-100% control, there are many sources. Slone (spelling), or almost any industrial supply house will have an assortment of sizes and voltages. I f you want to do 0-100%, consult scientific supply houses like Fisher Chemical Company. They will have an assortment of valves with controller systems.

the valve train is run hydralicly off a second oil pump,you cant use air as it compresses and would not allow for exact valve timimg,many new big diesels run this way
Q:96 chevy cavalier heater control valve?
The only valve i could think you are referring too would be the vacuum control on the back of the dash mounted heater controls. They do not have a valve in the coolant lines. The heat turned on or off by a vacuum operated door inside the heater box that merely closes and blocks the heat from escaping into the car. If you are having heater problems first make sure both lines running to the firewall feel hot/warm when engine is at temperature. Secondly you will have to find the actuators under dash on the heater box and make sure they are moving if not ck for vacuum.......

before that replace the breather and the pcv valve you wouldent nead a valve job but valve seals and you would know if ther bad by if it blows smoke when you first start it, how much are you burning a quart is almost normal on most cars inbetween oilchanges

Q:Valve amps - will the guitar sound be clean with a digital controller ?
First off, valves aren't meant to be clean or true. Technically the reason we like tubes is that they distort fairly easily, but in a pleasing and musical way (largely 2nd order, etc). Just being picky. =) Digital things can sound very digital in a tube amplifier depending on the quality of the DSP chip and how it's used. It looks like what they're doing in this case is modifying the gain values of the tubes digitally. This doesn't actually interfere with the signal itself. It's kinda like using a digital thermometer to control your heater instead of an analog one, or turning it on and off by hand - the heat still comes out, the method of when and how much comes out is all that changes. I'm very impressed with this amp. Whoever said that digital presets distort the valve sound were talking about something else - maybe the Line 6 Spider 3 or something, where the distortion doesn't come from the valves but from a DSP chip. Your amp there is a different beast completely. Saul
