The speakers have four wires each, how would I connect both speakers to the receiver?: Depending on the type of recover you should have 4 posts sticking out for wires. You would connect the red from the speaker to the Red on the receiver and ditto with the black wire. Do this for the left speaker to the left output from the receiver and do the same for the right speaker. Then tweak your reiceiver to your liking, then again you can also just check the owners manual

Q:I just got these 2 speakers, my grandmother passed away a few months ago, and I just got these 2 speakers she had in her den. Idk what it was hooked up to. It is a Soundesign Model 633 two way speaker. I really don't know much about this kind of stuff, all i know it that the plugs go into RCA ports. They dont have any specific color on them either, I tried hooking it up to the RCA ports on the back of my HDTV but nothing happened. What do I hook this damn thing up to to make them work?: They need to be connected to speaker outputs. If your HDTV has speaker level outputs designed to connect to speakers, then you can connect them directly. Chances are it doesn't though, (the TV probably has only line level outputs designed to connect to other electronics, not speakers) so you'll need a stereo or surround sound receiver to power the speakers.

Thanks in advance!: The issue is that home speakers are 8 ohm where car speakers are 4 ohm. All this means is the volume won't be as high with 8 ohms as it will with 4. Half in fact. Look to a 'carputer' with a 5.1 audio card. The idea is to have a non-hard drive based computer that runs standalone Windows XP from a Bootable USB drive that runs the music player of your choice using plugins. Your MP3's are stored on another USB drive that can be removed for editing. This all ties into your sound system (amp subs/speakers). No hard drive means nothing will crash (nearly). A touch screen display is really the only other peice of equipment needed that can be custom mounted in your dash as you say. Look up BartPE and Sherpya. These two guys found a way to run the full GUI of Windows XP on a USB drive (under 600 Mb). A shuttle style computer is all you need for the computer.
