Will I have to modify them to get them to fit?: I've always like Alpine speakers. They are not the most expensive speakers out there but they produce great sound. I have the Alpine sps-600c speakers in the front and the sps-600 speakers in the back of an '07 F-150 and the highs/mids they produce are the best out of any component speaker I have purchased before. Alpine speakers come with installation rings just in case the original speaker housing in your car is too big. Yours are 6 x 8 so with the rings you should be able to install them without any problems.

Bose is a quality brand but spends a LOT of their money on marketing and due to this has declined in quality. Q: I have 2 180 watt speakers that I have in my room and i wanna set them up but i need a stereo receiver and i was gonna get a 200 watt stereo because that should be good for 180 watt speakers or do i have to get a 400 watt stereo cause i have 2 speakers, or will a 200 watt stereo feed both my speakers 200 watts?: The speakers are rated at 180 watts, meaning that would be the most they can handle safely. Beyond that amount, heavy distortion and damage can occur. If you get a 200 watt stereo or receiver, you have to look at how that is spread over the number of channels (outputs) 100 x 2, 50 x 4. The more power you have the louder and harder you can drive the speakers. More power- less volume (volume knob on low). Less power-more volume needed (turn volume up).

Q: I have a 97 Chevy Cavalier z24. Recently I had an aftermarket radio installed in it. All of the stock speakers worked until now. I have had the radio for about 3 weeks now. Now when I play songs the music only comes out of the front left speaker. Recently the right speaker sounded distorted and fizzy. Now the right side speaker plays no music at all. Should I get new speakers?: I would say yes factory radios have about 5-10watts RMS per speaker and aftermarket speakers usually need about 25-50watts RMS depending on the speaker so the factory radio does not have enough RMS wattage to properly power the speakers and that makes the radio's internal amp clip Clipping occurs when an amplifier is asked to deliver more current to a speaker than the amp is capable of doing. When an amplifier clips, it literally cuts off the tops and bottoms of the musical waveforms that it's trying to reproduce, thus the term. This introduces a huge amount of distortion into the output signal. Clipping can be heard as a crunching sound on musical peaks. that causes distorted sound which will damage your speakers so when you buy your new speakers don't get ones that require too much wattage because you will have the same problem and if they cant handle the wattage from the radio you will fry the voice coils too

Q: i took the speaker out of my old guitar amp and i took the speaker out of a computer speakerand i need to connect the amp speaker to the computer speaker!!. how do i do it?!?!there are 2 wire on the amp speaker and 2 wire on the computer speaker does it matter which i connect to?!: Well technically, since it's a single speaker setup phasing isn't an issue, it will work either way. Curiously though, how did you find a computer speaker that big? Even the smallest guitar amps have about a 6' speaker, and it's usually a subwoofer; I think your going to find this speaker isn't going to work well in your amp. If your determined, look for a plus sign or a red spot next to one of the speaker wire posts. This will be your positive side, and the wire going there usually will be red, or have a stripe on it. the black or plain wire will be your negative connection.

What do you recommend?: In-ceiling and in-wall speakers are to be avoided at all cost no matter what they sound like in the store. They use the ceiling or the wall as their box. When a speaker co. makes boxes for their speakers those boxes are the same and the sound coming from your left and right speaker will thus be the same. Ceiling or wall cavities are never quite the same so that the sound of your speakers will most probably be different. Also, in a home theater, it is best to use 5 of the same speakers to keep the same sound throughout. At the very least 4 of the same and a center speaker designed to go with those four.
