Q:I was wondering if any one knew if the center speaker in my nissan 300zx is on its own channel or if it is spliced in somewhere?

does your car have door speakers and rear speakers aswel or just the centre front speaker and 2 rear speakers?

Q:I have two after market speakers i installed in the rear of my chevy aveo . they fit up by the back window, there is nowhere in the door for speakers in back. So these speakers can be seen from the trunk. that being said they have all that air space in the trunk, would it be better to build a little box to cap the back end of the speakers for sound?

Absolutely, boxing them will help out with the bass response. If you have the thiele small parameters you could even build the enclosures to exact specs then you will have the best possible frequency response.

Q:I have had many brands from expensive polk.to audiobahn and pioneer 6.5 inch door speakers.for some reason after about a 6 months i end up with one speaker that i guess fries a voice coil or something bc it has alot of static and only plays part of the time and when there is bass in the song is sounds like its going to blow up lolsomeone at a car audioplace said it was called bottoming outi have an alpine cd head unit and 2 10 inch subs and a amp alsobut i doubt that has any effect on the door speakers??.i normally run the speakers pretty loud,Not full volulme but loud most of the time.im going to buy a new set of 4 yet again.im thinking of the inifinity kappa mayb? Could u please tell me what could cause these speakers to mess up AND what brand i should think about buying that wont break my wallet either

Q:i took the speaker out of my old guitar amp and i took the speaker out of a computer speakerand i need to connect the amp speaker to the computer speaker!!. how do i do it?!?!there are 2 wire on the amp speaker and 2 wire on the computer speaker does it matter which i connect to?!

Well technically, since it's a single speaker setup phasing isn't an issue, it will work either way. Curiously though, how did you find a computer speaker that big? Even the smallest guitar amps have about a 6' speaker, and it's usually a subwoofer; I think your going to find this speaker isn't going to work well in your amp. If your determined, look for a plus sign or a red spot next to one of the speaker wire posts. This will be your positive side, and the wire going there usually will be red, or have a stripe on it. the black or plain wire will be your negative connection.

Speakers of same sises resistance and watts. Would have the actual ones tested before replacements.

Q:I think I burned the speaker coil out of my speakers.In the process of troubleshooting I noticed when my speaker wire from my amp touches + and - it sparked.What if any options do I have for saving the speakers and or amp? Did I wire something wrong?

The speaker coils can be checked simply by momentarily connecting a 1.5 volt flash light battery across the terminals - the speaker will emit a low volume thud each time the speaker is quickly connected across the battery if it's functioning. The amp, unfortunately, is not so easy to check - if the speakers test OK and the amp doesn't work, it more than likely is defective and needs to be repaired or replaced.

Q:i have an 04' Maxima and tha speakers are ok but not tha loudest,, but i found out that one speaker(front left) wasnt working,, so i decided to go ahead n buy new door speakers thinkin that would fix tha problem and give me better speakers,, but i started installin with tha front left speaker n when it was all hooked up i tested it and it was REALLY soft,, all of tha other speaker seem to work fine but a couple times in tha middle of a song tha bass will seem to kick in for a breif second. Any ideas about what might b wrong??

Step 1: Check to make sure the balancefade settings are neutral or biased to that speaker. Step 2: Do a continuity check on the speaker wire between the head unit and the speaker ends. (disconnect both ends) I suspect you have a short in the wire somewhere. If you dont have a multimeter, first check by hooking up a different speaker. If the other speaker still doesnt work then replace the speaker wire from the head unit (dont worry about running behind the dash ect yet, just hook up the speaker to see if it works).

Q:I want to buy another pair of speakers and the cords are to long, can i buy an extension cord for them because i don't want to spend like $100 on wireless speakers.

uhm. speakers dont come with speaker cables. with the exception of them theater in a box. buy speaker and get speaker cable in a spool and cut to length. unless you DO have the theater in a box and you have the speaker that has a composite jack at the end. then you need to do some work by rewiring the wires.

Q:Does the loudspeaker drive?
