Q: I'm installing a new hard drive and I need an extra power cable. Thing is, I've only got one in my computer (15 pin SATA) I have a spare SATA port for the data, so that's not a problem. Anyone know of any multipliers or some way i can add an extra power cable? Thanks in advance
you are able to split the capacity cable with a a million--to--2 capacity connection. yet you are able to't split an information cable (the flat pink one). you choose yet another cable and a 2d connection on the MB. If no 2d connection, you may get a SATA card to flow in a PCI slot. Have performed the two between the above.
Q: I want to put a poe switch into the patch panel and power a few runs throughout the office. Can the end users use the drop as a standard way to plug into a computer or add a switch if they need to split the internet? What if they want to add their own POE switch at the end of the drop?I can't beleive I haven't seen this question asked already! Anywhere on the intternet!thanks for answering
Yes, you can attach PoE or non PoE devices to the switchports. No worries. If a device is not configured for PoE, than it won't use it.
Q: Recently moved from the UK, so I need power cables for the following:- External Hard Drive- Skype Phone Base Station- etcThese appliances come with a power cord from the socket to a small circular head that plugs into the said appliance.I've looked in Walmart, and all they have is a mutihead adaptor for 18 bucks, when I really need just a power cord with the wall socket and the right size circular head.Any advice is appreciated!

Q: I just bought a new power supply and it doesn't have the cables for my CD drives, how do I know when I buy a PSU if it will have all the cables I need? How do I know if its compatible with my motherb?
you need to consider 2 things. 1. check the pin-out. the cable should match the connector on your mother board. 2. make sure you have atleast 600~750Watts power on the new power supply.
Q: I am running a LAN Cable through my walls, and I'm using the existing holes for the power lines. I'm wondering if the RF from the power line can interfere with the LAN Cables data. Thanks!
If putting them near power lines, ALWAYS get the shielded cables. Like Wikipedia says: Shielded cables are useful for environments where proximity to power cables, RF equipment, or high power equipment may introduce crosstalk, and can also be used where interference with radio receivers or where eavesdropping likelihood should be minimised.
Q: i have 2 xbox 360s; one german one american, only problem is my american one(110 volts) has lost its power cable, now i thought why not just use the german (220 volt) power cable; but im afraid that might blow up the cable or whatever, any suggestions??
right, the power outage would be too high
Q: When doing competition, is there a rule where your battery in the back can't be bigger than the one in the front? Are Monster Cables as good as they perceive to be???? I.E. their 400 series cables that are wound in different arrays to optimize each frequency out put? Can a Power cable actually provide more efficiency if constructed right, once again, their 400 series?Subwoofers being 1000 RMS but only getting 500, will running them at their RMS make a significant difference?
I'm not 100% sure but I think that doesnt matter. What matters is the amount of batteries you have. There is a significant difference between 500 to 1000 watts. But it depends on what enclosure is being used that makes it louder...much louder in some cases.
Q: Wire and cable should be used in parallel when the attention
The former bv4 square copper wire is a single strand of hard copper wire, the latter BV4 square copper wire is multi-strand soft copper wire. Core (coredwire), with steel sheath for the outer tube filled with iron alloy powder to do core material, cross-section for the circular or rectangular line body. Also known as cored wire. It is used as a steel-making furnace outside the refining of the feed method to add refining agent and alloying agent. Can be directly added to the deep steel, the molten steel for deoxidation, desulfurization, degassing and non-metallic inclusions denatured treatment, to eliminate the aluminum deoxidized steel in the continuous casting steel | iron when the nozzle plugging the problem. As the deep addition of alloying elements in the molten steel, so the alloying element recovery rate is high and stable, the steel components can be fine-tuned to the best range. The reproducibility of the results is good.
Q: I found a box of power cables that I could use to hook up my PC and I know some of them were for old CRT monitors. Is it safe to use any of them? I'm not sure which one actually came with the monitor.
From what I can tell, all of the monitor power cables are exactly the same. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work or why it would be unsafe. As long as it fits easily into the LCD and plugs into your power supply then it should be just fine. (P.S. I've used old power cables on newer models before when I lost a cable once)
Q: The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. The squeezing noise remains and i push the power button - nothing comes on.Before, it used to come on for a few seconds and then it will turn off by itself. I though it was a virus, so i restarted in safe mode to scan it. The PC stayed on for like 30 minutes and then it turned off by itself. But every since it doesn't wants to come on. Is the power supply gone? If so, how can still the green button comes on and the squeezing noise remains?well, I bought a power supply, and with the new power supply, nothing comes on - not even the squeezing noiseplease help me out! I need my PC! thanx in advanced!
Make sure all the cords are properly hooked up properly. I recently bought a new PSU and forgot the most important cord, the main board. Also, make sure the cord for turning on or off the computer didn't come off the motherboard. If that isn't attached, no signal will be sent to turn on the computer.
