Q:i hooked up all my 4 gauge power ground cable from the batteries of my truck i passed both of them thru the fire wall but what i was wondering is will i have a problem since its the power ground coming thru the same hole thru the fire wall or will i be all good ? somebodyy help

you should never run your ground to your battery, to your amp.. it should be as short as possible, and attached to bare metal , like the frame. and if you have an issue with one, you could very quickly have an issue with both.. I REALLY hope you fused at least the power wire!!!!!

Q:What is the best tool or method in your opinion to locate cable damage causing current leak on several cables supplying outdoor lighting as detected by a tripping GFCI breaker. (Or water in a light obviously). Is there a meter that can measure that directly with the power off?

I usually have one of my kids lick their finger and run it along the cable. a lightbulb in the mouth helps.

200 to 1000 (if you have that much power) from 20hz to 20,000hz i would sugest a dedicated line .strictly for your home theatre gear,with a good power conditioner- with some good power cords,as well as speaker cables. also on the current issue the longer the runs of speaker cables the more current you will lose ,

A power cable is a power cable. they are all essentially the same. If it fits, use it.

Hi at such low current and voltage it really doesn't matter that much.

It will if dried out over night. Placing it in direct sunlight will dry it faster. A hand held hair blower/dryer will work the best. Never use a wet cord for anything! This could lead to electric shock and/or death!

Power connector cable? Usually, you don't need an adapter cable: you just plug the video card into one of the PCI expansion card slots available on the motherboard, then you plug the monitor's cable to connect the monitor to the computer via the serial port on the video card. Knowing what computer you have doesn't really help: You have to tell us the motherboard's brand model to see if this particular video card is compatible for your computer's motherboard.

Q:So I have some speakers that are for a PC. I just got a new laptop and I want to use the speakers, which I can with 100% ease but I want it to be portable, meaning I don't want to have to plug in my speakers to a wall outlet, i would like to hook it up with a USB. Is there way I can make a USB power cord so i can power the speakers from my laptop? I have a 12V DC 0.5A wall adapter and a usb to cut in half or whatever to make this thing work, i also have a soldering kit. Is this possible? Thansk for any help and Merry Christmas ;)

Astra is right. Your USB port will never be able to supply enough power to the speakers.
