- Put a little nail polish remover if its stil wet....don rub it...jus dab it! Then let that dry! Then go buy...Barbasol shaving cream! Then spray it on the stain....and rubb it in with your finger tips. Then rub the area dry with a paper towel! Works like a charm!

- Yes, I would definitely suggest a new pad too. You'd be amazed at how much stuff the padding (and carpet) can hold, such as dirt, carpet fresh, mold, mites, hair, etc. As long as you're replacing carpet, replace the padding too!

- Yes, you need to have the carpet to carpet non-skid. It should be pretty cheap. You could use duct tape, and it could very well keep the rug in place. that's basically what carpet to carpet padding is. It's very sticky on both sides. If you ever have problems removing the tape residue, try just a tiny, tiny bit of AFTA which is a solvent.
