- cleaning is my business, I've used all type of carpet machines and the best that I've found is the rug doctor. you can rent them or you can purchase one of them. i don't recommend you buying one unless you have a lot of carpet to clean all the time. its always best to spot clean your carpets before using a machine on them. resolve carpet cleaner is good and if you have blood stains or ink or grease try using lighter fluid that you use in lighters. be sure to blot any stain that might spread such as ink.
