- Q: So my vehicle's amp recently stopped working. It worked great after I installed it about a year before, so after testing for shorts, burnt out fuses, etc, I decided that the amp had died on me. After getting a new one-and it not working either-I checked the voltage at the end of the power cable where it hooks onto the amp. I get a 12v reading when the ignition is off, but only a 4v reading when it is in the run or aux. position. The in line fuse is good, as well as the battery (just had it checked). Any ideas as to why this is happening? As of this posting, I have NOT tried running a new power cable yet, but that is the next step if nobody has an answer. Thanks.
- If the electronics paintings, then it isn't the battery, Hooking up the skill twine the floor does no longer something, there is not any longer a circuit to end, without skill. Even the distant turn twine, having skill, would the two placed the amp into risk-free practices, or pop the fuses...Does it attempt to coach over? or if no longer, does it have a starter solenoid?

- You can put a main power cut off to your amp. all you have to do is go to a truck stop and get a big power cut off switch and put it somewhere along the power cable. or you can just put a toogle o the blue wire.
- Q: How would I go about stripping 4 gauge power battery cable for my amp? oh and how would i screw the fuse holder down? with what kind of screws? thank you!
- I use a knife to strip that wire, just be careful not to nick the wire. Drill a hole and use sheet metal screws to screw the fuse holder down.
- Q: In the middle of the page there is a section called Connectors, i suppose those are the cables attatched to the PSU, but in total there are 17 cables so maybe i am wrong???It says that there are 6 SATA Cables that look like SATA Power Cables and are i guess haha.I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes, the PSU does have 6 SATA Power Cables attatched to it, but i mean when spending $750 on a gaming computer i wanna be sure lol.
- SATA Power Connector: 6 - YES it does have. If your spending $750 on a computer i'd suggest you get a branded power supply, they last longer and will supply your video card with enough juice to get the job done. what kind of video card are you getting? depending on what card your getting 500 watts may or may not be enough, as the new nvidia cards are very juicy :)

- There is no need for a 200 amp cable. most of the time 75 to 100 amps is more than enough. Just go to the local car audio store and pick up a amp kit. (Depending on amp size depends on price) The local Wal-Mart sales them as well. You'll spend between $25-$100 for a good amp kit. Amp Kit 1 power wire 1 ground wire 1 set of RCA for audio from sterio to amp 1 fuse.
- Q: Interested to learn more about selection of Power Cable for Diesel Generating Sets. I have checked out a few websites, but they are all too complicated and ask too many questions. Would like to know if there is a thumb rule for this?
- Power cable size will depend on the output current rating of the genset. The conductor size shall be rated for carrying the maximum genset current contnuously and shall be rated for the voltage of the genset.
- Q: I had gave my amp a 16 volt input, then there was a spark which came from fuses that got burnt. I then replaced the fuses, rewired it nd gave it a 12 volt input it came on and went on protection. So i left it aside and after a few days i tryd connecting it again but this time it came on and it was burning the power cables no matter what guage wire i used. Any idea why its doing that?

- As long as the cable has enough power for your laptop, same watts, volts etc. It's usually on some part of the power cable, and on the bottom of your laptop or on the battery.

- STEP AWAY from the appliance. A computer draws a lot less than that motor you propose to connect. Don't be cheap. Get the proper size cord. What you show from the computer looks like #20. You want a 3 W. #16, cord.

- High input cable ...? Not really sure what that is, Also, that power supply is junk. 750W and it only has a single 6-pin PCI? That's sad. Good 750W power supplies are at least ?70 and have four 6-pin PCI cables. Heck, a good 430W costs more than that and it's guaranteed to perform better.
