Q:I am trying to use a crimp on connect with RG6 cable, but when I strip the shielding back I cannot get it to go into the connector very well. How much should I strip oh each. It said on the tool about 1/4 in for the copper and 1/4 in more for the shielding. I have tried this but I cannot get the shield into the connector, and I cannot get the copper exposed far enough.

It sounds like you may have a connector that is made for RG-59 coax, a thinner (and inferior) variety from RG-6. Get an RG-6 F-connector.

Q:I have a prudent way 90W 12-24V Notebook AC Adapter and the tip connector has gone bad. I have a hp pavilion dv6000. I feel like it would be stupid to buy another adapter if I can just buy the tip connector. Thanks in advance.

if u are sure its the tip and not the input on the laptop you can most likely resolder the connections on tip. If not u can buy a new adaptor for usually less than five dollars. Might as well

Q:I had to replace the 4-wire connector that plugs into the idle air control valve and I want to be sure the wires are spliced correctly to the original wiring. This is the 3.1 liter engine. I have a Haynes manual with a generic symbol for the IAC and list of the wire colors but it gives no info on how exactly they are arranged. Does somebody have one they can look at and describe the order they are arranged in, left to right on the lettered side of the plug?

Q:I noticed that the plastic piece that holds the flat ribbon cable in place is broken. I have been having problems with some of the letters on the keyboard not working so I took the computer apart and found that the connector was missing a piece and was wondering if this could be the problem and just how difficult this would be to replace?

You can try P259 couplers as they are designed for UHF freqs.there is a connector that is used on microwave (radar) frequencies on counters and spectrum analyzers that is about an inch in diameter on the internally threaded outer sleeve with a concentric inner smaller diameter four bladed cylindrical contact sleeve that in turn surrounds the inner conductorI can't remember the nomenclature for it but it is tops for UHF and higher freqsjust now called the local R' Shack toy store and they quit carrying those like just about everything else they had before they became so yuppified. I advise you to google Mouser Electronics and go to their website as they will have every r.f. coupler you could imagine.

Q:I am installing a new cd player in my '86 Toyota Pickup. The cd player has smaller gauge wires 18-22 gauge that need to be connected to a wiring harness that has 16 gauge wires. I was going to use butt connectors but the handful that came with the install package only have connectors that fit only 18-22 OR 14-16 gauge wires. Do they make connectors that fit a larger gauge on one end (14-16) and a smaller gauge on the other (18-22)? What are they called?Thanks for the time.

no. the gb micro has a different connector cord for everything. you cant use any cords on it that worked for the original gba or gba sp because the gba micro is much smaller than either one of the first two gba models. dont get it. its not worth it. gba micro is not worth your money at all.

Since I'm using xtreme gear PSU right now (which people said it's crap, poison my PC and recommend me to switch it) so I bought a new 650W corsair to replace.
