FAQ:

Q1: Why buy Materials & Equipment from OKorder.com?

A: All products offered byOKorder.com are carefully selected from China's most reliable manufacturing enterprises. Through its ISO certifications, OKorder.com adheres to the highest standards and a commitment to supply chain safety and customer satisfaction.

Q2: What is a solar PV module?

A: A solar PV module consists of many solar cells that are connected together (typically in series) and packaged in a frame (typically made of aluminum).

Q3: What are the advantages and disadvantages of monocrystalline solar PV modules?

A: Monocrystalline solar PV modules are the most efficient type of solar PV modules, with the exception of CdTe thin film solar PV modules. As a result, monocrystalline solar PV modules are more expensive when compared to almost all other types of solar PV modules.

Q: Can solar panels be used in hot climates?
Yes, solar panels can be used in hot climates. In fact, solar panels often perform better in hot weather as they rely on sunlight, not heat, to generate electricity. However, it's important to consider factors like panel efficiency, temperature coefficients, and proper installation to maximize their effectiveness in hot regions.
Q: Can solar panels be used in commercial buildings?
Yes, solar panels can definitely be used in commercial buildings. In fact, many businesses are increasingly installing solar panels on their rooftops or in open spaces to generate clean and renewable energy. This helps reduce their reliance on traditional grid electricity and lowers their operational costs in the long run. Additionally, commercial buildings often have ample roof space, making them ideal for maximizing solar energy generation.
Q: Can solar panels be used in combination with wind turbines?
Yes, solar panels can be used in combination with wind turbines. This combination is known as a hybrid renewable energy system, which allows for a more consistent and reliable power generation. By harnessing both solar and wind energy, the system can maximize electricity production and provide a more sustainable solution for meeting energy needs.
Q: How do solar panels perform in extreme temperatures?
Solar panels can still generate electricity in extreme temperatures, but their performance may be slightly affected. High temperatures can cause a decrease in efficiency, as the heat reduces the panel's ability to convert sunlight into electricity. However, modern solar panels are designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, and their efficiency losses are generally minimal. In extremely cold temperatures, solar panels can actually perform slightly better due to the improved conductivity of the solar cells. Overall, while extreme temperatures can have a small impact on solar panel performance, they are still a reliable and efficient source of renewable energy in various weather conditions.
Q: Composition and function of solar panels
Among them, for the electronic grade polysilicon accounted for about 55%, solar grade polysilicon accounted for 45%, with the rapid development of photovoltaic industry, solar cell demand for polysilicon growth rate higher than the development of semiconductor polysilicon, is expected to 2008 solar polysilicon
Q: I am in the market for buying a home. There is one for salke that actually has solar panels on top. How are they used? Do you need to pay for gas and electric still. Does it really light up the house and keep it warm. WHat about the AC keeping hte house cool in the summer does it work for that too? Please explain in solar for dummy terms. I haveno clue about solar panels other thatn the fact that it needs sunlight to run.
well see a house can totally depend on solar energy (solar panels) but u will still have to pay the electricity bill because if the solar panels dont work u will have a back up,eg like in winters when it snows , it can cover the solar panels or during the winter seson when it is cloudy or snowing the sunlight can not reach the solar panels because of which they can not charge. but on the other hand because of the solar panels the bills will be decresed and u will have to pay only a small amount. I HOPE I WAS HELP FULL
Q: How do solar panels impact the electricity bill?
Solar panels can significantly reduce or even eliminate electricity bills as they generate clean and renewable energy from the sun, reducing the reliance on traditional grid electricity. By harnessing solar power, homeowners and businesses can offset their electricity consumption and potentially earn credits by feeding excess electricity back into the grid. This can lead to substantial savings and a more sustainable energy future.
Q: I know that the Solar panels store the power from the sun in the daytime, where does that stored energy go from there? Is it stored in the batteries? And how would you keep the batteries topped up if you had no Electric? by a generator? interested in solar panels for abroad, but need more info.
Solar panels do not store power. Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity. To store power you need batteries. The usual type of batteries used are lead-acid deep discharge( similar to car batteries). The batteries are charged up during the time the sun is out. However, as a backup you could also have a generator handy to provide power for times when the sun did not shine enough to keep the batteries charged up.
Q: Can solar panels be used on vehicles?
Yes, solar panels can be used on vehicles. They can be installed on the roof or the body of the vehicle to harness sunlight and convert it into electrical energy, which can be used to power various systems or charge the vehicle's battery. This technology is commonly used in electric and hybrid vehicles to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint.
Q: I got a really great deal on 2 houses because they were fixer-uppers. I'm living in one and the other I'm renting out. However, the previous owner did everything himself in 950 95, so needless to say, things are not to todays standards. Both houses need rewiring (there are no ceiling lights, few outlets, and mine has two old fuse boxes and the other has a breaker box but it pops the breaker a lot). The only reason they are still functional is because both houses use natural gas for water and heat, so otherwise, they electrical work is getting us by, but who knows for how long. I thought that maybe instead of redoing the electric, that I could just add solar panels to compensate for the small electric boxes. Also, since I would have to hire electricians to do all the work, which would be more cost effective (not including the decrease in utilities since I don't pay the utilities in the rental anyways)?
No. solar panels would not solve your problems and are usually not cost effective. Solar panels will not help to compensate for undersized electrical service. You would still have to upgrade the existing service. Once that is done you should have no problems and all the electricity you need would come from your power company. Have an electrician come out and do an inspection and tell you what all needs upgrading. Solar panels would save you money on the monthly power bill but the cost to install them would be higher than your savings. If it made economic sense to have solar power then everybody would be doing it. That's why you see very few houses with solar panels on top.
