Q:Ever since a few weeks ago, these retarded giant mosquitos thingys keep on flying into my house from somewhere and they always come into my office and bother me, so im wondering what month they come and what month they leave?: Crane flies tend to live in wooded areas and open fields, but they can live nearly anywhere, including snowy northern climates and desert lands. In order for their eggs to hatch and larvae to grow into adults, they require either water or damp, decaying material in which to lay their eggs, depending on the species. Crane fly larvae and pupae can be found in damp sod or compost piles, or under the decomposing leaves on the banks of rivers, streams, ponds or lakes. Crane fly larvae and pupae feed on decomposing material, grass and the roots of many plants. This makes them a beneficial insect, as they assist in the cycle of decomposition. Once they emerge in late winter or early spring as adults, after maturing over the winter, their primary purpose is to mate and lay eggs.

Q:I have to create a crane to support a dead load for my Engineering Technology class. It can be made out of only 1/8 inch balsa wood and wood glue, and is going to be graded by the ration of weight held to structure weight.Could anybody give me some suggestions as to how to go about designing this thing? I already know most of the basics, but if anybody could give me some specific tips, they would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!: Not enough information because a crane can be many shapes and have various forms of anchoring or counterbalancing the load. If you are not allowed to anchor to a base and can't use weight to counter the load (if all balsa) then you have to create legs and lift the load between them - Basically the design will need to be triangles in truss to take the compression and prevent twisting and a long upper piece in tension to act like the cable you don't have. I would make two legs that are each 3 sided trusses that meet at the top and have a single rod across the bottom to keep them from spreading. Then I would make a longish beam with flat triangles for stiffness and use a few uprights to position the tension rod. Hang the weight on one end and push down on the other so it pivots on the short legs.

Q:Is there an effective utility for estimating the required size of a crane? I’m an estimator for a mechanical contractor, and it seems we never allow enough money for crane rental. How can I effectively adjust my estimates?: well I'm not sure but need to over estimate for safety cause there are all ways mitigating forces @ play when using cranes be safe first dude you dint want to be sued for being cheap and if yo do good work word will get around

Q:What is the load moment of a crane?: The load moment for a crane is a number measuring the weight of the load lifted times the distance between the mass and the centre of the crane's superstructure. For example, a 20 ton weight lifted at 5m away from the crane (in reality, right next to it!) gives us a load moment of 100 ton*m, the same as a 10 ton weight lifted 10m from the crane. Cranes can handle higher load moments closer to the crane, so really heavy lifts are always done from very close to the load.

One complex is in Emerald City and the other is on the other side of the road where Knights is. There is a bakery, hardware store, doctors, two banks, a pharmacy, video shop, Cheffette restaurant, clothing store,, a post office, gas station and Mademoiselle Shoe Shop among others. There is also another gas station quite near call Kirtons Star Mart which is about four minutes away.
