Q:A lot of condos and hotels are being build in hawaii, and each time i drive pass them i wonder how they are assembled.Since each individual piece looks heavy/sturdy and is 45 stories+ high, how do construction workers put them together. Do they assemble it by hand? Or are smaller cranes needed to do the job? Or possibly a different way i didn't mention?

The really huge cranes with the boom that goes straight out at a right angle to the upright section (which goes straight up) is called a tower crane. They're assembled by using a jack assembly at the bottom, so that more sections are stuck in at the ground level.

You probably meant a truck-mounted crane. There are industries offering ready-made solutions that work. Have you ever designed a truck or a crane before? It's a challenging engineering task and it can't be improvised. Besides, whatever you design and build will have to undergo extensive testing before being authorized to operate on public roads. The solution would cost more than anyone would care to pay for it. Consider buying a used rig instead.

Q:How do Crane Motors Work?

I'm not 100% familiar with this but this should be pretty close to the answer. Simple/standard crane motors work by applying power first through a rotating steel shaft into a gearbox. The gearbox allows the gearing ratio to be changed (to trade rotation speed for torque or torque for rotation speed). Another steel shaft carries the power out of the gearbox, again through rotation, to a spindle (think big thimble) around which steel cable is wrapped.

Q:I am currently on a vacation and our house is on a bay. It is 1 am here and I couldn't sleep because I had a personal issue on my mind.
