Type HSpumps are cantilevered, horizontal, centrifugal slurry pumps. Designed for handing abrasive, high density slurries in the metallurgical.mining, coal, power, building material and other industrial departments etc. The pump of this type also may be installed in multistage series.
Q:50 meters deep well with what water pump: home?
For deepwater submersible pumps, ordinary submersible pumps are inefficient.
Q:I have a 1999 Volkswagen Passat and the water pump seems to be leaking. The lower radiator hose has been replaced but it still leaks a fairly substantial amount. From what I can tell the pump is still doing its job but I'm losing coolant. Is there a way I can determine if i just need a new gasket or a new pump altogether without ripping the front end off? Any feedback is appreciated.
Before you go to replace anything, you must find and repair the source of the leak. See radiator pressure test video below:
Q:The water pump gasket in my '98 Forester (130k) recently began to leak, and I will be replacing it in the next couple days. I noticed a stream of bubbles in my overflow container, though, and am wondering if it might be bad head gaskets making the air bubbles. The bubbles only appear after the engine is warmed up, like after a drive around town - there aren't any bubbles when the engine is cold.Is it possible that these air bubbles are coming from the leaking water pump? I hope so, because I'd much rather replace the pump than the head gaskets!
You have a blown head gasket
Q:how to change a water pump on a 99 ford tauras?
Loosen the bolt, swap it with a new pump and tighten the bolt.
Q::) approximatley how many and where would you buy them :/ :) x peacce dudes
Man you are so stupid. First of all, Africa is not a country, its a continent and there are 53 countries in it. 2nd, Pakistan is not a piss poor country like most of the poor African countries you see daily on TV. Pakistan is a developing country with no shortage of water. In fact, just a few months ago about 30 million people were effected by the worst floods in the country's history. They don't need no water pumps. Worlds 5th and 6th Largest Dams, Mangla Dam and Tarbela Dam are in Pakistan. Not to mention Tarbela is also the world's largest earth-filled dam. Another one, Diamer Bhasha Dam (under construction) when completed would be the worlds highest Roller Compacted Concrete Dam in the world with height of 272 meters, leaving behind Miel I in Colombia (188 meters). Not to mention, Pakistan has the largest irrigation system in the world. So in short Pakistan certainty doesn't need any water pumps donations lol. Whatever water pumps they may need for any purpose, they are perfectly capable of manufacturing themselves. The country made nukes on their own for God sakes! You seem like a good kid though, so if you want to do something for poor people, concentrate on Africa and India. Don't be surprised by India's name because according to UNICEF, India has higher levels of malnourished children than Sub-Saharan Africa and more than 700 million Indians don't have access to toilets whatsoever. They have to relieve themselves in fields or along roadsides, thus creating a hygiene and environmental problem. They would be very grateful to you if you donate toilets to them. :)
Q:Installation position of check valve for water pump
Check valves are generally installed at the pump outlet and exit control valve position. Self suction pump check valve installed in front of the pump, suction port better!Ordinary centrifugal pump check valve flange from the pump outlet flange is generally 300mm-500mm, its purpose is: when the pump is stopped, to prevent backflow of water to the pump body in the pipeline, resulting in the impeller reversal (generally positive rotation is more impeller impeller and shaft tight) that damage the impeller and pump head. Therefore, the height can not be too high, too high, there are too many water reflux, the consequences can be imagined. But there are self suction pumps, self suction pumps, check valves, flanges, pumps from the body, the outlet flange generally 1 meters to 1.5 meters. This is determined by the structure and working conditions of the self-priming pump. Self suction pump start, the pump is a gas at first, the main purpose is to exhaust the rotation of the impeller, will also play out some of the water, this time need to exhaust gas, water will need to return, if the valve is installed in the 300mm-500mm, then a lot of water can not return to the pump body (can also cause check valve is closed), effect of self suction pump work.Self suction pump check valve installed in the suction port of the pump better, this is not upstairs nine, brother said, must be installed in the export, this is wrong. Installed in the inlet of the purpose: it is time to stop the pump, there is generally no reversal of pump impeller, but to prevent the pipeline inside emptying (fluid inside the pipe can be in pipe) is beneficial to the self suction pump for a restart! Therefore, the self-priming pump check valve is best installed in the inlet pipe of the suction port.
Q:how do u know when u need to replace ur water pump or how do u know when its not working??? thanks
Water pump may have three types of failure: 1. Leaking shaft seal You know by a. puddle under the car, b. low coolant level, c. ultimately - overheat 2. Shaft bearing failure You know by excessive noise, play in the shaft, ultimately - leak from the seal (see 1) 3. Turbine itself breaks. This is a rare case, and the only one that represents no working condition. The engine immediately - withing a few minutes - overheats.
Q:My mechanic said I have a very small coolant leak and that in the future I might need to replace it.He said I should keep an eye on my coolant level.Anyone like to comment on how how a quot;small leakmight develop into a quot;major leakthat needs to be urgently addressed? He also said that to replace my water pump, he would charge $400. Is this expensive?(I have a 1996 VW Jetta)
The water pump leaks to warn you that it is about to go bad, meaning that you will overheat. Keeping an eye on the coolant is a good temporary course of action but this needs to be fixed before you ruin the engine. I believe your water pump is driven by the timing belt and that is a complex job. $400 is about right, and have him change the timing belt and thermostat also.
Q:What does the lift of a pump mean?
The pump lifts water from the surface to the highest point, such as a submersible pump working below the surface of the water. The pump head is still applied to the water level, not the water pump.
Q:Colleagues, could you explain the principles of operation of the water vane vacuum pump? What range of pressure can one achieve with this type of vacuum pump? If somebody could post a reference to books, app notes, commercial datasheets of such pumps, that would be simply great.
*Correctly said by Mr.Pete. I think you are asking about water ring vacuum pump. Basically it is a liquid ring vacuum pump. *A liquid ring pump is a rotating positive displacement pump. They are typically used as a vacuum pump but can also be used as a gas compressor. The function of a liquid ring pump is similar to a rotary vane pump the difference being that the vanes are an integral part of the rotor and churn a rotating ring of liquid to form the compression chamber seal. They are an inherently low friction design, with the rotor being the only moving part. Sliding friction is limited to the shaft seals. Liquid ring pumps are typically powered by an induction motor. *Single stage vacuum pumps typically produce vacuum to 35 torr (mm Hg) or 0.047 bar, and two-stage pumps can produce vacuum to 25 torr (mmHgA), assuming air is being pumped and the ring-liquid is water at 15°C (60F) or less. Dry air and 15°C sealant water temperature is the standard performance basis which most manufacturers use for their performance curves. *You have to take negative pressure if you are talking about pressure. Negative gauge pressure, a way of expressing pressure measurements below atmospheric pressure.
