Despite its prevalence in the environment, no known form of life uses aluminium salts metabolically. In keeping with its pervasiveness, aluminium is well tolerated by plants and animals.Owing to their prevalence, potential beneficial (or otherwise) biological roles of aluminium compounds are of continuing interest.

Physical

Aluminium is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile and malleable metal with appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray, depending on the surface roughness. It is nonmagnetic and does not easily ignite. A fresh film of aluminium serves as a good reflector (approximately 92%) of visible light and an excellent reflector (as much as 98%) of medium and far infrared radiation. The yield strength of pure aluminium is 7–11 MPa, while aluminium alloys have yield strengths ranging from 200 MPa to 600 MPa.Aluminium has about one-third the density and stiffness of steel. It is easily machined, cast, drawn and extruded.

Aluminium atoms are arranged in a face-centered cubic

(fcc) structure. Aluminium has a stacking-fault energy

of approximately 200 mJ/m2.

Aluminium is a good thermal and electrical conductor,

having 59% the conductivity of copper, both thermal and

electrical, while having only 30% of copper's density.

Aluminium is capable of being a superconductor, with a

superconducting critical temperature of 1.2 Kelvin and

a critical magnetic field of about 100 gauss (10

milliteslas).

Q:Is it easy to recyle aluminium?
Recycling aluminum cans is fairly simple. Just bag/box them up and haul them in. Other types of aluminum can be a little more of a challenge. Like with aluminum siding or sheets of aluminum. Hope that helps.
Q:Would carbon arrows make a big difference over aluminum?
I shoot carbon arrows. Vapor blackhawk by Easton. I love them. I will never go back to aluminum. As far as knockdown power it only takes 12 pounds of pressure to penetrate a deer. So if speed is your concern go for the carbons. You will not be disappointed. The only flaw I found in carbons is they are hard to tune. But once you get them tuned in you are go to go.
Q:Might die from aluminum?
Nope. Aluminum exposure has been kicked around as one of the causes of Alzheimer's, but nothing was ever proven. That was from deodorants that have aluminum in them, but never enough info to merit any changes.
Q:How was the Al symbol chosen for Aluminum?
Aluminum Symbol
Q:What are some compounds of aluminum?
I can't find any for radon!
Q:Is there some harmful side effect of using aluminum as the boiler in a still?
Aluminum can be toxic in very high concentrations, but using aluminum as cookware (or still-ware) is very unlikely to cause toxicity. The only time aluminum may cause a problem is when cooking tomatoes or highly acidic foods in untreated aluminum cookware. Even then, the level of aluminum that gets cooked off into the food is negligible. It's better, however, to make sure that the cookware you are using in the still is food safe. Copper may be a better choice, but I'm sure that's more expensive. Hope this helps. You may want to check your local area to see if there's a home-brewing supply, or a beer-makers supply company and they may be more helpful about a good container to use for the boiler.
Q:Waterproof aluminum foil and PVC for cupboard, which is better?
Waterproof aluminum foil is usually used in cupboard while PVC is rarely used. PVC is usually used in commode. But it's better to use PVC for cupboard. Aluminum foil paper may easily soak and damage the cupboard due to its good waterproofness if water seeps into it, so it is better to paste a whole piece of waterproof aluminum foil paper without interface through which water may seep into the cupboard. Since aluminum foil paper is an additional layer on the moisture proof particle board, it is not moisture proof and waterproof enough and thus outdated. Whether PVC board can be used for cupboard depends on manufactures. Some just use it as an advertising gimmick while some use it for cupboard bottom. Surely the latter one is more durable. Cupboard is the place that contains most water and connects with sewer.
Q:How can aluminum foil classification?
Aluminum foil can be divided according to the shape of a roll of aluminum foil and a sheet of aluminum foil. Aluminum foil deep processing wool was rolled supply most, only a few handicraft packaging occasions with a sheet of aluminum foil. Aluminum foil can be divided according to the state of a hard foil, semi-rigid foil and soft foil. 1. Hard foil: After rolling without softening treatment (annealing) of aluminum foil, without degreasing, surface Bu there is a residual Shantou. So hard foil printing, laminating, coating must be degreased before, if used for forming can be used directly. 2. The semi-rigid foil: aluminum foil hardness (or strength) of the aluminum foil rigid foil and soft foil is commonly used for forming.3. The soft foil: After full annealing after rolling and become soft aluminum foil, soft material, no residual surface. Most applications, such as packaging, composite, electrical materials, use soft foil.
Q:What are the uses of aluminium foil paper, tire paper and bronzing paper? Which ones are used in printing?
NewsprintCommonly known as white papers, is characterized by soft porous, institutional strength, a good absorbent, can make the ink penetration. In a very short period of time, when folding not stick dirty, used for printing newspapers in high speed web, journals and books. The newsprint weight is 51 grams / square meter. The width of the newsprint is 1572 millimeters, 1562 millimeters, 787 millimeters and 781 millimeters. The width of the paper is 787 millimeters and w1092 millimeters. The width of the paper is four millimeters. Newsprint printing adaptability, opaque, but the whiteness is low, surface smoothness is different, printing pictures should use coarse mesh, after sunlight easy to yellow, crisp hair, should not be long-term preservation.
Q:Is it bad to burn aluminum foil?
No. The aluminum will usually not burn. At a temperature in excess of 1150 degrees, and being exposed to an open flame at the same time, will result in the aluminum burning. On a barbecue, you will only have a few hundred degrees. When aluminum burns, it will naturally produce aluminum dioxide, which is not toxic. You don't have anything to worry about. Aluminum only burns in fine powder form, or when it is melted (exceeding 1150F)
