Q:What benefit was there to have lead in paint?
They used it as a pigment. Lead was also added to paint to speed drying, increase durability, retain a fresh appearance, and resist moisture that causes corrosion
Q:What are the differences between paint 106 and 806?
106 paint used 806 paint do not understand it should be almost tens of dollars a barrel if it is more than 100 yuan than the purchase of state legislature 15 liters when the Lai 135 yuan / barrel single brush can be 180 square meters whiteness and good hiding good and environmentally friendly
Q:old bathroom floor, ugly as hell, i want to paint it
I would use a disc sander if glazed tile to rough it up, then use an acrylic primer first.
Q:where can i download paint for free?
While Paint.NET has a better GUI and generally is more stable, Gimp has extra functionality which Paint.NET lacks, I.E. Soft brushes.
Q:I have this nice desk, but is is fake wood and I would like to paint it. What do I do so I can paint it? Thanks in advance!
You can paint on anything, but you need to make sure it is clean and it is also a good idea to sand it with 200 grit sanding paper to make sure the paint will hold. Then you can paint it with a roller brush or spray paint it. You can paint primer if you really want to but you could also go without.
Q:Kansai Paint of West Coatings
2017: China's Chongqing longevity to establish Asia's largest anti-corrosion coating production and R & D base, and for the first time the world's leading anti-corrosion coating technology into China.
Q:What is the difference between polymer cement waterproof coating and polymer cement-based waterproof coating?
It can be used in wet or dry masonry, mortar, concrete, metal, wood, hard plastic, glass, gypsum board, foam board, rubber, etc. For old and new buildings and structures (eg houses, underground works, Tunnels, bridges, pools, reservoirs, etc.) can be used, but also can be used as a binder. Particularly suitable for basement, underground tunnels, bathrooms, pools, etc., especially wet and long-term immersion in the water under the conditions of construction....
Q:how to paint in an organza type of cloth?
the only confident way to answer this question is to tell you to experiment. different fabrics/textiles take to paint differently. Don't use oil paint. that is just going to make a mess and corrode the fabric if it is not primed. If it does have a couple coats of gesso on it, that's a different story... but that would take away from the qualities of the fabric. I would use an acrylic paint, or a textile paint (which is acrylic). Take a square of the fabric and experiment with paint on it, to see how it takes the paint. You are going to want to experiment with different consistencies of the paint. Try watering it down, and using it without any water. If you don't have an extra piece of the organza to practice on, then take another piece of scrap fabric, as close as the fabric you have, but any kind of textile can help if practice on it first. It is sometimes hard to control painting on fabric, as the fabric has a texture of it's own which can control the paint and make it hard to paint crisp lines. For this reason, it 's a good idea to make stencils and learn to work this way. But you should just go at it and experiment. try different sized brushes. if you are painting a large area, use a large brush. If you are painting a small area and you want more control, use a smaller brush. and again. DONT use oil paint. that other person doesn't know what they are talking about.
Q:What is the difference between dyes and pigments?
Pigments are mainly used in the presence of inorganic compounds. Colors are a kind of colored material that can be attached to various fibers and other materials directly or by the action of the mordant. Can be combined with the dye compounds, mostly organic compounds.
Q:For painting shoes, what should the ratio of fabric medium to acrylic paints be?also, how should i let it set (by heating) so it will last long and the paints does not fade as quickly?regards, sim
If you are painting Vans then I'm thinking you are working with canvas. I've done some fabric painting on super lightweight canvas, and have never been aware of any protocol re: strict ratio between paint and fabric. You'll want the canvas to absorb some of the paint, so keeping the acrylic thinned a bit is important - especially because acrylic paint dries quickly. How much paint you use will depend on the weight of the canvas. You will want to use enough to supply sufficient coverage for the colors to be rich - but use too much paint and the shoes will be stiff and you run the risk of the paint cracking - definitely not good. You would most likely be safe and get a good effect by painting a couple of thin layers.
