- It depends on your stance when doing squats. The wider apart your feet are then the more your glutes will be involved...the closer you stand the more your thighs take over. The same goes for leg press. Also, on leg press the lower you place your feet the less the glutes will be working. For size keep reps between 8-12 for weight loss 15-20 reps.
- Q: Whats the best pressed or loose powder to cover up acne scars and for oily skin? I use Revlon colorstay foundation i just need a good drugstore powder!
- Well, most setting powders are not the most pigmented, so don't expect the powder alone to cover your acne scarring. Try a concealer for that. Revlon colorstay is already a pretty heavy duty foundation with great coverage and tough as nails staying powder. It's one of the few foundations who can be worn without setting powder. But if you insist, Maybelline Dream Matte powder is a very well known pressed powder. It offers a decent coverage (light-med) without looking overly cakey. The packaging is really nice as well. Of you have lighter skin, try Rimmel Stay Matte. It has a light coverage, but is great at keeping your makeup in place for the whole day! My personal favorite is Coty Airspun Tranclucent Setting Powder. It's a loose powder that has a matte finish at first, but then transforms into a healthy, glowy look (not oily though!). It looks amazing over revlon colorstay. Downside is, it's translucent, but you can work around that with concealer. Anyways, good luck on your search! - I don't think you would be able to build one the same quality for less than you could buy one. Companies that build them build them in large quantitys for cheep. you are probily best off finding a used one for cheep or free.

- Do a pushup with your feet on some scales, and ask a friend how much the scale reads. if you have 55 on each side, add the bar weight.
- Q: How in the world do you do a bench press or a lunge?
- There are various forms for bench. I use a more power-lifter style, which brings in the triceps much more than the shoulders, and is much better on your joints over-all. Your grip should have at least one finger on the outer rings of the barbell, unless you're pretty tiny. I usually have my ring finger on them. Lift off, then somewhat quickly lower down to your lower chest/solar plexus area, then press off hard and fast like your life depended on it. Other forms include bringing it to mid-chest, closer/wider grips, and slow down/slow up. To do a lunge: step out forward and bring your rear knee almost to the ground. Your lead knee should not go past your toes. Then, use your lead leg to raise yourself back up.
- Q: what is the minimum amount of weight that a 6 foot tall, 160 pound 14 year old boy should be able to bench press?
- What do you mean by minimum? The minimum to avoid being made fun of? The minimum to be considered strong? I would say a beginning goal of a healthy young man would be to do their body weight, so 160 pounds. When I first started bench pressing at around 15 years old, I think I weighed about 150 and ended up doing around 180-185 at the end of the school year. I was naturally strong though, so that may have been above average. Keep working hard and challenging your muscles, and you'll be worrying about maximums instead of minimums!
- Q: I have a machine where you can do a lot of workouts. One is where you are sitting and have one bar on each side of you that you push forward, like if you are bench pressing, only sitting up. Does this work out the same muscles as lying on back and is it easier. People ask me how much I bench and I can do 200 sitting but have no idea how much I could do laying.
