- Try a hoover tempo they do a pretty good job on carpeting, it's biggest flaw is that it has a short hose but for about $60 it's a good deal

We recently moved and the owners gave us a game chair and its like the pet hair is embedded into the cover. (Its just the cover.) I'm afraid to wash it in fear of the hair transferring to the washer and dryer (prior experience) and the clips on the cover may tear it up.

- Q: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know I can buy a new, high tech(and plastic, foreign made piece of crap)vacuum. However, my Dad worked for Hoover for 40 years and built THIS one over 15 years ago. I've been able to maintain and repair it fine so far, but it's been having trouble with suction. I think the composite material of the fan blades is worn down.

- We have a Sharp Twin Energy 12 amp at work and it has amazing suction. In fact I have had to put electrical tape on the cord in a couple of spots. It's suction pulled its own cord in and tore it a little. It's about 5 or 6 years old but it still works great!

- Yes, they only work decent on wood floors,and it takes them a very long time to do the job, you can do it yourself in a fraction of time compared to how long it takes the robot to do it and some time it won't get the whole area, justs keeps on cleaning the area it just went over, I think they are worthless, just a novelty devise.I'll sell you mine if you really want one (LOL) oh... and they are worthless on tiled floors.

Attachments are more easy to change for when cleaning for furniture or stairs and switching from carpet to bare floor can be done at the handle by turning off the power nozzle, then switching to the bare floor tool.
