- Q:I had two vacuum cleaners from Bissell. One has a problem with the belt piece and can't be repaired, and the other has started to come apart (roller and roller pin, belt latch, and even the dust cup has come off the vacuum cleaner on its own and not even full.)I have been meaning to get a new vacuum cleaner since both cleaners are pretty old. - If you have pets a bagged vacuum will most likely be able to contain the odors within. Both can have equal suction power but with the price range you gave us I'm sure you should go bagged if you want good suction. Cyclonic are nice to have because of its easy clean-up, and you are also not using money on replacement bags. The only down side is that sometimes the bags are discontinued and hard to find.
- Q:Why are vacuum cleaners so noisy?
- It takes a powerful motor to create the suction needed to make a vacuum cleaner effective. There are quiet models, but they don't work as well. The best way to use a quiet vac is to go with a central, and have the canister mounted in the basement or garage. All you hear is the motor in the power head if you are vacuuming carpet, or the air moving if you are vacuum hard surfaces. Hope this helps.

- Leave the vacuum on while you address your dog. Mine was doing that and I used one of the 'Dog Whisperer's' techniques of immediately addressing my pit when he started lunging at my vacuum cleaner. I stopped, got between him and the vacuum and let him know by 'Pssting', snapping my fingers and getting his attention that his behavior wouldn't be tolerated. It took about 30 seconds for him to get the idea. Now I just have to 'Psst' and put my hand out for him to stop. He sits back and looks at me like, Oh. Okay.

- I have never had one, but my sister did. It was a way over priced pile of junk, and really not as good as the $100.00 vacuum she had before the electrolux, and still has now that she has given the electrolux to the Salvation Army. Silly woman fell for a line of crap some slick door to door salesman laid on her, and regretted it from about the second time she used the electrolux.

- Q:i turn it on,it emits this stink like warm spoiled cheese. i never used it for anything other than my carpet,and i never used it to clean anything wet. and the machine isn't even a year old yet. i purchased it brand new.
- Cleaning the hose i detach it from the machine and provided that it's not a current carrying hose what i do is a partially fill the hose with warm water and dish soap then i move the ends up and down to swish the water through the hose be sure to rinse it out with water and then if you can blow it out or hang it up and do not use it till it's dry
