- Q: I have 2004 Chevy Trailblazer V8 4x4 that the water pump went out on. Does anyone know how long it takes to change it and where it is located? The dealer wants $750.00 to fix it. I really don't want to get riped off.

- Q: Can I charge the battery (1.2Vx2) with the suction tube submerged in the water or do I have to remove the suction tube every time I have to charge the battery?
- Since you don't mention the model of the pump, if you can connect the charger with a dry connection, you should not have to remove the pump/tube. If you have to take the battery out, you stand the risk of dropping it in the water putting it back, but obviously (I think) you don't have to remove the pump/tube.
- Q: i want details and requirement of it in water pump

- Q: My pump is almost 4 years old, work normal till recently I noticed sand mixed water flowing out of the delivery pipe. What should I do to make it normal again?
- If it is pumping sand there is a problem of course. The pump is generally hung about 10 feet from the bottom of the well ( Ex: if the well is 120 feet the pump would hung be at 110 feet). In your case it may have been closer to the bottom and picking up the sand. There is a possibility that recently another well has been dug in the area and disturbed sediment has gotten in the water. It sounds like you aren't using this as drinking water or the sand would have been dropped in the pressure tank and you wouldn't see it. If it is a seasonal use well ( like for your garden or lawn in spring through fall) this debris might wash out after a few uses.
- Q: and how do I get it to work 24 hours a day?and on the pump there is written: 2 A, and on another part: 220-240 Vdoes that mean its wattage is 440-480Watt?
- Hey Don ..did you mean consecutive hours..if so. Here is how to do it..If there is fluid to be pumped there is sometimes a controller that will ask the pump to stop when it reaches low level . And again ON when it senses high level. Find this device, if one exists and either defeat it mechanically or wire around it electrically.Either is pretty simple. NOW that i have told you how to get it to run all the time. I though I might mention a timer..A timer, in series with your pump, will cut it off and give the liquid level a chance to rise as well. Timers can be defeated the same as all other protective devices,, My question is Are you sure this is what you want to do ? The plug on the end of the cord ,it must be a small pump if only 2 amps, should be your only control .If it has an auto off feature it's there to save your pump from burning the barn down ,so to speak, Why not take another look at your application. if you do have an endless fluid supply ,like a closed loop trickling fountain, remember those evaporate if make up water is not added. Sometimes though you need a pump to run 24-7 in which case just fool the controller..Of course the human is the true controller... :) Well I have armed you with enough info to get by on this please do so safely. - Q: Why can't sprinkler system and hydrant system share water pump in fire fighting system?
- The design code of sprinkler system GB 50084 - 2001 (2005 Edition) stipulates that the sprinkler system shall be provided with an independent water supply pump, that is, the water pump shall not be shared with the hydrant system. The aim is to ensure the reliability of the water supply and prevent interference.See the code for design of automatic sprinkler system, GB 50084 - 2001 (2005 Edition), 10.2.1 and the corresponding provisions of the following interpretation.
- Q: I have a slight idea but I would like to see what steps other people have taken. I have a 1992 ford escort that needs a new water pump, what steps have you taken to replace it?
- It shouldn't in all probability take that long for a water pump. till they are changing the cam belt on the comparable time which could be greater like it. despite the fact that if ?40 an hour is slightly on the steep component. Get a cost from yet another storage or 2 for the comparable interest and see in case you will discover everywhere greater much less high priced
- Q: Why does the water pump leak?
- The leakage of water pump is caused by many factors:1, the axial movement of the bearings (axial clearance is too large, resulting in static and dynamic ring open. Leak water.2, and automotive cooling liquid is also related to, if the pH of the coolant is large, will corrode the water seal of the surface, resulting in leakage.3, and the user's use is also related, and some users do not properly maintain, add an unclean coolant, resulting in impurities in the coolant. Accumulation in the water seal surface, destroy the water seal torus, forming water leakage.
- Q: Could my problem be greater than a water pump or thermostat?
- Yes, there could be a hole in radiator, or in hose/s to/from radiator. Have it repaired, ASAP. Experience over the years have taught that 'radiator repair' liquid does not work.
- Q: I REPLACED MY WATER PUMP ON MY 1988 CHEROKEE,THE NEW PUMP STARTED MAKING THE SAME BEARING NOISE.
- I'd wager that whoever installed the new water pump over-tightened the belt. The belt has a tension spec that must be adhered to. Some ham-fisted joke of a mechanic most likely just leaned on the tension pulley with a crowbar and tightened it. Take it to a qualified mechanic and have them measure the belt tension with a gage. Then take that info to the clown that did the work and get your money back -- don't let him ruin another pump; get a qualified mechanic to do the job properly.
