I have a Eureka right now which I was told was great for catching pet hair.It sucks. - Q: I am apparently having some media trust issues--commercials are DESIGNED to get us to Buy their products, and the company , if called up on will say the BEST things...so I depend on consumer experience to decide upon a number of items! I interviewed at least a dozen folks when looking for my car, at grocery lots and gas pumps, and when 100% were thrilled with their automobile, that did it for me and what the salesman said was just confirmed by my own research.Over the years I have had a dozen electric floor sweepers, and none of them have been the 'cat's pajamasquot;! So, has anyone actually HAD a Dyson, ball rolling mechanism cleaner and if so, has it justified it's $400.00 dollar price tag in your estimation? How as the suction performed and has it stayed reliable? Any details will be helpful!Thanks!
- I recently went to a vacuum cleaner store ( one that repairs and sells new ones) and there were at least 15 Dysons in the back ( repair) room. I asked about them and was told they are all in for repair - they get more Dyson's that need repair than any other brand. See if you can find a place that sells Sebo. I bought a Felix. It is lightweight but sucks better than any vacuum I have ever had and has great features that I have not seen on any other vacuums. It is about $500, but will last forever. I love it!
- Q: I've seen the robot vacuum cleaners before (iRobot Roomba) and they seem really cool. But in reading about them, it seems like the mostly work on bare floor or super short carpet. Are there any models that work with normal medium length carpet?

- when you decide to replace your current handheld vacuum buy a rechargeable Black and Decker. It charges while hanging on the wall and is always ready. Getting a rechargeable will save money in the long term since you will not have to bother with batteries.

- From what I understand, a vacum cleaner can produce just as much, if not better suction when being pulled backwards. Dysons are the best and most reliable for this in ,my experience.
- Q: I need your help! I have had over 6 diffrent vacuums. The first one was great but heavy and old. It was a GE but now the old thing has broken down. So I have tried to get the light weight ones, the cordless ones, even ones with all these kits with them, but they are all worthless. Either they break or all too delecate or too big. I NEED ONE THAT IS BAGLESS, HAS GOOD SUCTION, SMALL THAT WILL FIT UNDER BEDS AND TABLES, GOOD WITH CAT HAIRS AND MAYBE INCLUDE A HOSE TOO. Please help. Give me a store name and a URL of the vacuum. - Good one! :-P I did accidently!!! I was coming home with my vacume I just had repaired, it was a Hoover. The other car I had at the time was a hatch back. well, the clip on it had broken and I was traveling down the highway back home when the back flew open and my vacume took off, hit the ground........................ I was driving like 60 on that freeway and looking out my rear view window at my horror, the poor thing was sparking all over the place and other cars were dodging it in it's pass as it was litterly cruising backwards at high speed! I sincerely hope it didn't cause any accidents but I could have been cited for that. Nevertheless, I had the back door fixed and have a different car now. As for the poor Hoover, it went to the BIG Pearly gates in the sky!!!!!!!!!!!! :-( +(

- Consumer Reports is O.K. But you need to determine what kind of vacuum cleaner you want. Canister or upright, bag or bag-less, you know what you need. Don't spend a lot of money. Most units are made so cheaply they may be considered disposable.
