Q:Car Stereo Wiring Help?
i okorder.com and there you will find the wire color codes for both your car and common aftermarket stereo wires.
Q:outdoor wiring?
Previous answer was partially correct. There are building codes depending on your local government. Some outside wires have to be in conduit, some have to enter and exit the ground in conduit, others do not require it. However, the wire size is associated with the circuit breaker that you are going to attach it to and the length or distance away from the circuit board it is going to be. Don't try to save money and buy indoor wire however, stick to the heavier outdoor coated wire. It is best to buy a higher Gage and not use it all then to buy a Gage that is too small.
Q:Peugeot Speedfight 2 Wiring ?
most bikes use the same wiring system... 50% anyway Black=Common Negative Red= Ignition Positive Grey= Ignition Kill Black+White=Ignition Kill (Ground) Green+Yellow=Ground Yellow= left indicator Yellow + Stripe= right indicator I recommend going on OKorder and asking a seller offering bike alarms for a wiring diagram for your bike, they will have them 99% of the time (it would be wrong if i sugested you tell them you bought an alarm from them in the past... as a reason for them to e-mail you a diagram - dont do that ;-) cgi.OKorder.co.uk/CYCLONE-MOTORBIKE-...

Q:normal amp to speaker wire size?
I would use 16 gauge. you can go a little bigger, or smaller. The biggest issue you will have ( vehicle depending ) is getting that wire thru your accordion boot and molex ( the rubber thingy that protects your wires, shaped like an S, and goes from the chassis to the door) <~ that's not talking down to you, but if other people read this, they will know exactly what it means also :D Unless your running a ton of power to your doors, you really don't need thick wires. As to the other part, It's not the speaker wire you need to keep away from your power wire, it's your RCA cables.. The rule is power wire goes down the battery side of the vehicle, and the rca's and remote turn on, go down the opposite side, if possible. That way you don't get alternator whine( when you accelerate, a high pitched whine will play thru your system, and make you Bat-S#it crazy :) Good Luck!
Q:Older ceiling fan wiring?
dt has it correct, but I think your one silver colored bare wire off the fan is a Support cable (Steel air craft cable) this should be attached to the back of your mounting box IF it is a fan rated box.
Q:Wire arcing possible?
Hello, anytime the insulation is broken on the line it can be a potential fire hazard, and yes they can arc or short out. The potential may not be large but with fire it safer to err on the side of caution. Codes vary around the country so check there, but we typically pull the staple and determine how deeply the insulation is really compromised, if it is only through the external shielding an in-expensive way to safely repair it is with a shrink tube type of product. However, if any of the internal strands have been compromised the line would need to be cut and a junction box installed and the wire spliced back together inside the box. Hope this helps:-)
