Q:Ceiling fan has Green, Blue, black and white and the ceiling only has a black wire and white wire.
The blue and black wires from the fan are twisted together and attached to the black wire coming from the ceiling box using the enclosed wire nuts. The white wire from the fan goes to the white wire from the box. There may be a bare copper wire bent up into the box, if so pull it down and attach the green wire to it. If there is no bare wire you can get a short piece of bare copper wire and attach it with a screw to a hole in the metal box with an 8/32 machine screw. Wrap the copper wire clockwise around the screw, tighten, and then join green wire to bare. If you have no bare wire and the box is plastic then you will have nothing to use the ground wire to and it will be unused.
Q:how to connect the wiring from car stereo to amplifier
good quality audio rca cables is enough. avoid the cheapest and most expensive. on my home stereo system I have $100 cables for my headphones and record player (vinyl). but that's warranted, I think. Honestly most people cannot tell the difference on car audio.
Q:Two steel wires are stretched with the same tension. The first wire has a diameter of 6.00E-4 m and the second wire has a diameter of 8.90E-4 m. If the speed of waves traveling along the first wire is 53.2 m/s, what is the speed of waves traveling along the second wire?
Wave velocity v = √(T/μ) Same tension in both wires: T1 = T2 μ is the linear mass density v1 = 53.2 m/s v2 = ? = v1/v2 = √(T1/μ1) / √(T2/μ2) = √(T1μ2 / T2μ1) = √(T1/T2 * μ2/μ1) = √(μ2/μ1) Linear mass density is mass/length, mass is density*volume: m/L = ρV/L = ρAL/L = ρA = ρπr^2 Both wires are steel so their density is the same. == v1/v2 = √(μ2/μ1) = √(ρπr2^2 / ρπr1^2) = √(r2^2 / r1^2) = r2/r1 == v2 = v1r1/r2 = (53.2*3.00×10^-4) / 4.45×10^-4 = 35.9 m/s ---- Speed of waves along the second wire is 35.9 m/s
Q:How do I connect a speaker wire with four wires (white, black, red, and green) to the back of speakers with only two connections (red and white)?
Don't quite understand what you are trying to do. Speakers only require 2 wire for connection a positive and negative (usually in red and white or black). Receivers only have 2 wires per speakers a positive and a negative (usually in red and white or black). Your cable has four wires in red, white, black and green, you use only two wires per speaker in either combination of colors. This cable is designed to have 2 set of speakers, the left and right.
Q:How do current carrying wires produce magnetism... Explain, give sites and clarify.
dear any wire that having a moving charges (electrons) are having a magnetic field around this wire in loop and u can know the direction of the loops by the right hand role that if we cauch the wire in our right hand as the thumb pointing to the direction of the current then the other fingers which arounding the wire is pointing to the direction of the magnetic lines
Q:I have an old house with old wiring. I have no colors to go by.
By electrical code (not sure how old this code is, but I think very old) if there are 2 wires for a circuit the one with any type of marking is the neutral or negative wire. For instance, it is common for a cord to have 1 smooth wire and 1 ribbed wire (there are raised grooves that go the length of the wire), the ribbed wire is the neutral. Or in outlets the larger plug hole is the neutral. Testing the continuity to ground is the best method, but make sure to turn the breaker off before you test it, as you might break your meter if you test continuity of a hot circuit.
Q:what size of wire should I use for my 1.5hp aircon, 220volt
If the distance to the power source is 100 ft or less a #10 wire should work. If it is further than that you should call an electrician. added note: # 14 copper is for light service wire. It would max out under use with an AC and possibly overheat.
Q:i want technical names of the electrical equipments rheostat, wire wound
1.Rheostat is Rheostat. But if you are asking technical name , I would like to state : A potentiometer is a three-terminal resistor with a sliding contact that forms an adjustable voltage divider. If only two terminals are used (one side and the wiper), it acts as a variable resistor or Rheostat. 2.Wire:Cable. A wire is a single, usually cylindrical, elongated string of drawn metal. Wires are used to bear mechanical loads and to carry electricity and telecommunications signals. Standard sizes are determined by various wire gauges. The term wire is also used more loosely to refer to a bundle of such strands, as in 'multistranded wire', which is more correctly termed a wire rope in mechanics, or a cable in electricity. 3.Wound : Do you mean winding?
Q:yamazuki wire colors for a universal ignition switch
Scooter Ignition
Q:How is commercial wiring differ from residental wiring in design, operation and etc?
For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/sbUNO electric tape is easier for the horse to see especially if you use a thick one so its safer but after time its hard to see breaks in the little wires that run through it so electric may not pass through as good or even short out. so wire is better in this respect if it breaks you can see it! i use tape for bottom and top, with wire running with the top tape to make sure the electric is getting round the field.
