Main Features of Tower Crane
1) This series of tower cranes, ranging from QTZ40 to QTZ400 has a horizontal jib frame, a jib-trolley radius-changing mechanism and a hydraulic self-raising mechanism. It is original in design, reliable in operation and satisfactory in shape. Each crane an envelope of angles to the horizontal, lifted load, and distance from the crane. The crane operator must insure that he is within this envelope or the crane may topple over. Also, the wind at the time of the lift must be considered. If you can picture a seesaw with loads pivoting about a fulcrum. When two people are on the seesaw, one person is the crane and the other is the load to be lifted. Only in the case of a crane, the fulcrum is at the crane itself with a large dead load counter weight behind the cab operator.

- There are different attachments that you can put on the end of your crane to pick up this block. You can make a set of forks (like a forklift) that would slide under the block (block would have to be elevated on a skid). You can pick up this block with a suction cup. You can also pick up the block by clamping the sides of the block by replicating a scissor type mechanism.

- I found an origami crane crest. It is called Orizuru Omodaka (折鶴沢潟) or Omodaka Orizuru (沢潟折り鶴). e-mon .jp/kamon/kamon12.html (on the 7th row, 2nd from the left) Orizuru = origami crane. As the previous answerer said, cranes are considered as sacred birds (reichou; 霊鳥) which bring us luck and happiness. They are also considered as a symbol of longevity as you can see in the following saying. 鶴は千年亀は万年 Cranes live for 1000 years, turtles live for 10000 years. Omodaka = a plant that stands near water. It is also called Kachigusa (勝ち草 = plant of victory). Hope this helps.

- Well, a bottleneck reduces the number of organisms in a population or species down to a much smaller number than previously existed. In the case of the whooping crane, the species underwent a bottlenck event (although what it is I'm not sure), leaving us with less than 12 individual birds. The more widely accepted number of 6-8 birds has given rise to the several hundred whooping cranes alive today. Since only half a dozen sets of genes were used to create the several hundred, there is not much genetic variability.

- Gotta go with Willie. The only match I ever saw Mosconi play was in Chicago back in 1964. He was down 46 to 14 going to 150. When he got to the table he ran 136 and out for the win. It was incredible. I never saw Crane in person and saw only one film of him. He ran 150 and out on Cowboy Jimmy Moore. A good friend of mine was telling me a story about the time he was in Johnston City, Illinois. Richie Lawrence was at the table. My friend was seated in front of Crane. As Richie was shooting, Irving Crane was telling his friend what Richie should be shooting every shot. Richie did just the opposite every time. The neat part about it was... Richie ran 150 and out... and never shot the right ball. Gotta give Willie the edge. Good question.
