Q:I have a 2008 jeep wrangler, 4 door version. I‘ve noticed that when I‘m in 4 wheel drive, if I am going slowly and turning the wheel (usually in a parking lot, driveway, etc.), it feels like one wheel stops turning or something. The steering wheel actually starts to shake. It seems to work okay when I‘m driving straight. I can‘t tell with turns when driving faster but it seems to be okay. But there is a definite difference when driving like 1 to 7 miles per hour. Feels like it is having trouble going and the wheel shakes.I‘m a 4 wheel drive novice but our other vehicle (a large family type SUV) does not do this when in 4 wheel drive.Is this normal for a jeep? Any other issues I should check?

Ok so not an expert but I have ridden for years, and taken the equivalent of the MSF course here (in Canada) a number of times. Strange thing, you would never get a licence here with that idea because you have to brake in a turn at speed as part of the test. I would not dispute that you get the best traction and shortest stop by braking in a straight line, but I find myself braking on curves all the time. I am not leaned way over where I might be at the limit of traction and I consider traction issues wherever I am. I have also read that racers do most of their braking before a turn but I think they have to slow on a tightening radius too. Different issue, but using the back brake in really slow turning helps to keep balance and control (a tip from off-road sources)

i once got a silent wheel attached to the bar of the cage and problem is that my chubby hamster was weighing it down to touch the bar and it makes a lot of noises too even without touching the bar, i also tested with the stand on the silent wheel and even worse!!! it kept bending down and make more squeaks than before. i think it would work for smaller pets that aren't heavy. my friend who has those grid wire wheels1s make the least noise cuz it is very sturdy and can't touch the side of the cage.

lets not base too much in the numbers. A 97 F-250 and a 03 F-250 are not the same truck. The older trucks are are more heavy duty and just built better. The way I look at it is if you had a mid 90's F250 to buy a comparable truck now you need an F350. The F150 is basically a large ranger, A 250 is an old school 150 and so on. So in answer to your question the year and make are such a difference. I would take a 97 250 over a 07 350 any day but over that youll still get a heavy truck.
