Q:What are the Pro's Con's of being a real estate agent? Im thinking of changing careers....Anything helps : )
Pros: ?You're an Independent Contractor and control your own business. ?Your income isn't limited based on your skills and work ethic. ?Set your own work schedule and vacations. ?Work outdoors and in varied locations. ?Build future business with great service and client referrals. ?Enjoy helping people in one of their largest financial transactions. Cons: ?You're an Independent Contractor and on your own to learn the business. ?You have to be available when the clients want you. ?There's a high failure rate for new agents. ?Liability and risk are part of representing clients.
Q:ok so i need some help.. i want to know how much do real estate agents get paid? is it a good amount? could the buy nice things?.. also do they come up with there own hours of working?
Right now the income is at poverty level. It is really tough right now to make large sums of money.A lot of agents are lucky to sell one house this year.Their are exceptions where they make a hundred grand though.
Q:I've been wanting to do Real Estate for awhile. I graduated Highschool last summer and since than, I've been trying to figure out what I want to do as a career. Before you say I'm too young and people won't take me serious, I've already thought about those things. I know that it's not going to be easy and I know there's a lot of competition and a lot of things aren't in my control and I am prepared for that. My main questions are, is it good money to make a living? Do I need money to do it (besides the schooling part)? Should I find a mentor? After schooling, how does it work? I'm going to do a 170 hour online class for a real estate brokers license. Once I start doing real estate and it's stable, I'm going to go to school to major in business. Any advice, tips and answers are very much appreciated. Thankyou.
You will need a luxury car to drive people around to look at properties. You have to wear expensive clothes to look successful. Since real estate agents are paid by commission, you will probably have to pay for office space, telephone, newspaper advertising, and all other expenses for your share of the office. So, it's going to cost you a lot to get started. Also, as about 98% of all successful real estate agents are very attractive women, if you are not one of those, you might as well forget about it and choose something else.
Q:I like to find the best real estate agent in tx houston who can help me to buy home i really need some good names this is gonna be my first home please help me

Q:I'm still in highschool just researching about careers and majors and I would like to know the basics of Real Estate. - The different careers within the real estate business and how they work.- The ranges of income.- The important skills you will require to be excellent at the business.- Is it worth it?-The up and down side about the business.- Is it an enjoyable job?- Also can you confirm that through practice you can be great at it?-Any other information or advice would be great. - Thankyou very much~
Here is a link to the US Department of Labor/Occupational Outlook Handbook. It won't answer all your questions, but it's a great place to start because it has tons of information including qualifications, salaries, outlooks, etc.
Q:My nephew really wants to be a real estate agent but he has epilepsy so he can't drive. But does a real estate agent really need to drive anymore in today's hi tech world of gadgetry? I was thinking that he could sell properties online and since he's fluent in Spanish he should focus on buyers from Spain/Latin America. What do you think os this possible?
I suppose that it is possible, but if the prospective buyers wanted to view the property, how would he manage. Also he would be totally reliant on the vendor's opinion of the property as he would be unable to inspect it for himself.
Q:What are your thoughts on a a global real estate fund in the current market conditions? Obviously the US RE market has tanked and we are starting to see the global market slip. I recently invested into a 5 star global real estate fund, but am concerned that the global re market will follow suit to the us markets. Should I withdraw my funds or stick it out? Also, this is a short term investment account that we are aggressivley investing our funds. We are looking to purchase a home in abour 2 years and are trying to build some return.
Global Real Estate is really not that aggressive...if you are going for a brass ring ( big gains, quickly)...you would be much better off to look at ETFs that focus on hot sectors...or even some individual stocks in those sectors. Right now agricultural chemicals, oil services, and financials ( risky) are making moves. MOO...DBA..XME..USO..OIH..XLF You can buy them in smaller amounts than most funds..you can sell off at any time... they may be more what you really want.
Q:Hi I have taken the real estate exam 6 times and this question keeps coming up and I cant find it in the book anywhere. it is a general question, please ONLY PEOPLE WHO KNOW ANSWER QUESTION PLEASE.... it was something like this....Sales Associate "Laura" is employed under Broker "A" and finds a prospective buyer "C" to sell a listed property to. When sales associate Laura finds out that Broker "A" wont pay the commission she thinks is fair, she tells buyer "C" to wait to make an offer, until she finds a new broker. Laura leaves Broker "A" and is now employed under Broker "D", and prospective buyer "C" is okay with this. Which answer is correct?"this is illegal""this is legal, but unethical""this is ok if buyer "c" agrees
This is one of the very most basic questions asked on the real estate exam. The first and most underlaying principle in real estate is that the agent puts the best interest of the client before her own. Obvious this agent isn't doing that. This is illegal. A Realtor or agent is required to put the client's interest before her own. By asking the client to wait to make an offer until after she changes brokerages demonstrates that she is putting her own best interest before the client. What would happen if the seller received and accepted another offer in the meantime? This is not only illegal but is against the Realtor's Code of Ethics. This agent could be fined or have her license either suspended or revoked.
Q:I want to be a real estate investor for rental properties. Ive been working at different jobs and none of it interests me. I want to be working in the field somehow and get some experience. I am 17 right now and completely clueless as I would get into the industry even at 18 which is just months away. A job as a secretary in an office would be fine I just desperately want to get a real job away from the fast food and retail industry. Thanks for any advice:)
Apply for property management positions - office work or showing condos at new developments. Also ask real estate agents in your area if you can get a finder's fee or bonus for finding listings or buyers for their agency. This means knocking on doors or just talking to people - at church, at school, etc. to find who is selling or buying. You will be amazed how much you learn just doing this - how to read people - what and how to ask questions - and when to leave them be. Agents in my area are so hungry for listings due to low inventory, some are offering a commission to non- agents though if you have a license, the average lead fee is 25% of the listing agent's commission. There are also investors, builders, flippers and rental investors who will pay for lead fees. Many who do foot work are highly valued.
Q:I am a rental agent in the real estate business. I'm in the process of placing an ad in a local paper to attract property owners (in hopes they will list their condo/house with me through the company I work for). Any good ideas or tips on what to put or say in the ad? Thank you in advance.
I don't mean to sound crass, but my listings kick *** our homes save bucks, their home sucks its hard to be a land pimp, help a brother out i'll take your equity and move to Schenectady 2,4,6,8, buy some Effin Real Estate
