Q: I am about to start looking for a real estate salesperson job, but my credit rating is a little sketchy and I'm worried about whether the agencies in NYC tend to do credit checks on their employees. Otherwise, I have no criminal record and can provide good work/personal references. Responses on your company policies re: employee credit checks from those working in Manhattan would be appreciated, however if you're located elsewhere and can tell me about your hiring, it would be welcomed and greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!
You aren't dealing with money directly and selling a product you can't really steal, so you probably don't have to worry as much about your credit rating. HOWEVER, your credit rating is an indication of how financially responsible you have been. I understand that everyone has a different life situation, but I'm just telling you what the credit rating is basically for.
Q: I'm thinking about getting into real estate. I'd like to know the process of becoming a real estate agent, what you need for certain to be able to apply.I'd also like to know what you get taught/trained to do and how much commission money you would make for an average sale. do you only get paid for every sale or do you get paid for going to work? if so, how often?one last question, is it a grueling job? to the point where you cant stand it? or is it a nice job with a few challenges here and there?thank you so much for your answers!
You need to choose 1 agent and they will represent you as a BUYING AGENT. They will find properties for you that suit your needs even though it is listed through a different listing agent. You need to get a preapproval first, which will give you more power when making an offer. Plus the agent will more likely help you once they know what you can afford. Keep in mind, if you find a house, alot more goes into buying than just a walkthru and say you want it. The mortgage loan process which involves income, credit score, debt to income ratio, downpayment, home inspection, appraisal, survey, title search etc. Good Luck in your search and definetly deal with one agent that will respresent you as a BUYING AGENT
Q: My fiance and I are trying to buy our first home. How do we go about finding a real estate agent?
Read okorder and look in the area in which you want to buy. Ask people who know and trust their judgment.
Q: I am looking to make a change in my career. How do I go about getting my real estate license? I have no prior experience in this field.
youcould look for a real estate school in your are ...or key word searchfor one on line...you could go to a local real estate office and work under their license while training...I would suggest the mortgage industry instead though...Less foot work and more available clientelle remember their is always someone interested in refinancing to get rid of their high interest rate credit card or school loans ...Call me I could explain a little more 866-683-6894 which ever way you go make sure to get with the best company in your area Real estate to me would be GMAC Caldwell Banker or re/max...I like what I do in the mortgage business because I am a representative for banks like Wachovia Chase Manhattan Wells Fargo CountryWide and over 100 more
Q: Is anyone currently working in Real Estate selling homes? Or selling commercial Real Estate? I am interested in getting my Real Estate license but don't know if right now is a good time since the housing market is currently down. I spoke to someone at Century 21 in Central Florida, and the office manager said no time is the right time to get a Real Estate license to sell homes. Someone else on here said now is a good time to get into Commercial Real Estate, but the question was asked 3 years ago. Any opinions, stories would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.
Pareto's Principle, 20 percentage of the realtors are dependable for eighty percentage of the outcome jewelry real in truly property. To be like your dad you ought to be relatively savoy to make $250,000 in truly property. Few do. eighty% barley make a residing. You ought to be a self starter, well organizer and experience being in industry in your self to be within the most sensible 20%. Some are simply born to paintings for others. Help your dad out in his industry. Find out his direction to luck. If you prefer what you spot deliver it a check out. When I began out I had two directory a sale inside two weeks and it by no means stopped. Others had an overly tough time creating a residing , then others simply up and relatively. One factor I had used to be a income plan/pursuits to get industry and I labored it to dying revising it while I needed to. I additionally by no means stopped finding out and studying approximately truly property (I particularly just like the industry). After five years or so over one million/three of my income have been because of referrals. Life used to be well.
Q: ok i want to get into real estate so ima get my real estate license, but my dad wants me to wait after college. I dont want to wait any longer i want to do it now, so whether he'll help me out or not ima get my license. What do i do after i get it? i want to be a Loan Officer like my dad. So wat do i need to do once i get it? Do i need to hook up wit some real estate offices? he works with century 21. How does it all work. And yes i do have education and im continuing it, but it doesnt mean i cant get into real estate at the same time. So i need help!
Be patient, your Dad is wise in that if you get a degree in finance and business perhaps with a minor in real estate you can then get your real estate license and do commercial deals. The money is better, the days M-F with no Sun open house, few credit problem buyers, and more opportunities. If I had it to do over that is exactly what I'd do. If my Dad could have convinced me to stick with college, as good as I have done I'd have rivaled the Donald (Trump). And what I'd have earned as a college grad would be mine for ever, nobody could take it from me. Real estate is not a vocation for the faint of heart, the weak or meak. It will take several months at best after getting your license to get your first deal and maybe close it. With a finance/real estate degree you can go to a REIT or Wal-Mart or some such corporate entity or one of the national or regional commercial brokerages and they will find an opening for you, I promise! Get the pedeigree- hey come to TN, I'll give you a chance! But hang in there with college, it is WELL worth it. The real estate market in California is slowing, and on the left coast in general tends to be a wild ride anyway. This is not a good tme to get in unless you can live a long time between closings. Once you learn the busiiness and understand the real estate market, whether slow or good times you will survive. Be advised that most sales jobs are commissioned sales. It is best to finish college while Dad will foot the bill. Don't go pay the stupid tax, it isn't worth it.
Q: i am programmer and i want to develop a software for real estate agent. this would be for uk and australia clients. Can anyone send me a links for guidlines to develop this kind of system?
There are hundreds and hundreds of application organizations that try to promote merchandise to us each 12 months. This larger do whatever quality and be very convenient to be taught and use- and now not price a lot.
Q: Am I too young to start business as a real estate agent? I know a local place where I can take a course to become an agent and everything. If I like it, I'd like to become a broker eventually. Is it necessary that I have a college degree to do well? (2 or 4 year and what kind) Thanks.
Education can only help. There are so many real estate agents in the world without a college education, and in many cases, it really shows. If you truly want to stand out and be successful in any business, it's important to have a strong understanding of business. If you don't want to go after a 4 year business degree, at least take as many classes at a Jr or Community college as you can. Really, this will make the difference out of being just another agent with no business, sales or interpersonal skills or being a mega agent that is well rounded and well educated to negotiate deals using other people's money!! Good luck.
Q: I would like to be a real estate developer, but i don't know how, so i have a few questions for you to answer. Thanks. What qualifications (A levels) do you need, and what to study in University? When you invest in a project, do you design the construction and use your own money, or do you get a loan from the bank? How would you promote your new construction (i.e a block of flats)? How much money would a real estate developer earn per job (in UK)? Thanks for your time, (Also if anyone knows where should i go for work experience, something to do with the real estate development business? Thanks
Rarely do develpers maintain the the properties...that is not how they make their money. Some developers retain the management of a community's HOA until it's 70% sold, and they assist the resident's in finding a HOA management company. The HOA also has the right to change management companies if they are not happy with the service.
Q: I majoring in economics and I wanted to minor in real estate because that's ultimately what I want to end up doing, but my school doesn't offer the minor anymore, though I'm still allowed to take the classes. I know I don't need a BA degree but I want to have something to back me up and I feel as though I'd feel more accomplished. I don't have the time to take the classes right away to get my real estate license and work as one during school but I want to get as much experience as possible and learn the ropes. I contacted a few real estate agents in my area and all but one has returned my call and even they are not looking for an unlicensed assistant. I'm looking to move to southern California after graduation and would love to find out as much as possible about that market before I go out there. Does anyone know of any internship opportunities out there or in PA? Any advice would help, Thanks.
Real estate brokers and agents would not use the term Internship to describe what you are offering. That is why they were not interested. There are 2 avenues that could work. YOu agree to work for no salary for one month. YOu go on appointments with a successful agent.... and in return, you do small jobs like putting up For Sale signs and removing lockboxes (with house keys inside) from sold houses. The 2nd month you could get a small salary because the agent now knows that you will work hard. Or you go to work as an assistant for $1,500 a month. You are a paid employee. You will answer calls and pass out flyers and go to meetings as well as put up signs. You will be more like a secretary but you will get paid for your work. Decide which one you want and call 100 agents. Or visit them as they hold Open Houses.
