ok i want to get into real estate so ima get my real estate license, but my dad wants me to wait after college. I dont want to wait any longer i want to do it now, so whether he'll help me out or not ima get my license. What do i do after i get it? i want to be a Loan Officer like my dad. So wat do i need to do once i get it? Do i need to hook up wit some real estate offices? he works with century 21. How does it all work. And yes i do have education and im continuing it, but it doesnt mean i cant get into real estate at the same time. So i need help!
Be patient, your Dad is wise in that if you get a degree in finance and business perhaps with a minor in real estate you can then get your real estate license and do commercial deals. The money is better, the days M-F with no Sun open house, few credit problem buyers, and more opportunities. If I had it to do over that is exactly what I'd do. If my Dad could have convinced me to stick with college, as good as I have done I'd have rivaled the Donald (Trump). And what I'd have earned as a college grad would be mine for ever, nobody could take it from me. Real estate is not a vocation for the faint of heart, the weak or meak. It will take several months at best after getting your license to get your first deal and maybe close it. With a finance/real estate degree you can go to a REIT or Wal-Mart or some such corporate entity or one of the national or regional commercial brokerages and they will find an opening for you, I promise! Get the pedeigree- hey come to TN, I'll give you a chance! But hang in there with college, it is WELL worth it. The real estate market in California is slowing, and on the left coast in general tends to be a wild ride anyway. This is not a good tme to get in unless you can live a long time between closings. Once you learn the busiiness and understand the real estate market, whether slow or good times you will survive. Be advised that most sales jobs are commissioned sales. It is best to finish college while Dad will foot the bill. Don't go pay the stupid tax, it isn't worth it.
Im 17 , I got my Ged not to long ago. I really think becoming a real estate agent would be a great job for me. I have a few questions about this career though. How much do you make as a realestate agent. I just want an idea of how much a do beginners get paid and how much do you get paid. Do you like you job? Whats an average day like for you? What tasks do you usually need to do throughout the week. Is it a stressful job? And if i work for someone, how much would my commission be on a house? How bad is the market for selling houses now and do you think it will be a lot better. Im really considering on selling houses for a living though is this a good choice?
You think being a real estate agent would be a great job for you. What are you doing now, and what skills do you possess that give you the idea that you would be a good real estate agent. Being a great real estate agent is all about helping other and being able to steer them in to a home or sell a home where at the end of the transaction they would be willing to tell their friends, co-workers and family what a wonderful job you did for them. If you apply the above principle earnings would be the least of your problems. The break down on the possible commission is that the overall commission is normally set by the selling agent. The normal commission is approximately 6%, with the selling office and the buying office splitting this 6% evenly at 3%. The real estate agent would then get 50% of that at 1.5%. the amount of this would be based on the selling or buying price of the house. You would be best served by going to a local real estate office asking these questions or attending a jobs seminar, held by most large real estate agency. You would need to make an appointment with a large, small and medium size real estate offices to see which you think would fit your style better and you would be more successful in. You would need to find out the state requirements in your state, and find out if you would qualify. though a GED is proof that you have an equivalence of high school diploma, there are some states that require a high school diploma, while others simply require you to take a couple of real estate courses on ethics and pass the state real estate exam. After obtaining your real estate license, you would need to make the very best marketing plan you are able to.Making a marketing plan would make you, you would be able to plan your success and a method on why you are not being successful and a method of getting back on track. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. FIGHT ON

Acording to my calculations, the technological revenue recieved as a profit greatly out ways the invers circumferencial spendings. In other words, it really pays off
I have my real estate license....somewhat new to it. My husband and I are looking to buy our first house. We currently live in Manasquan, I have my whole life and don't want to leave. We can't afford it. Our goal is to move to Brick for a few years and hopefully make some money off of a house, so that we can move back to Manasquan before our son goes to school. We have found a few different homes...we don't care if we make a ton of money off of them, as long as we don't lose any....you think we will be ok? or do you think Brick real estate is staying where it is?
NJ real estate ballooned way to fast from 2001-2006, and since has tailed off considerably. it should be a little less profitable for awhile. the problem is as you live in Brick both areas will increase in value, but after time you will know if you can handle a bigger payment or not, and you might actually find yourself making very good money after a few years in Real estate. Learn your job well, and you will get back in Manasquan...but I would tell you from my experience get the hell out of NJ, it is a rip off, I lived there for 27 years, there are so many better places to live.
do I have to complete the 45 hour real estate agent license course BEFORE upgrading to a real estate BROKER course? Is there a course that allows me to study for the BROKER LICENSE without the need of an estate agent license? Or is it a must?please advise, I am interested in becoming a real estate broker. do I need to get the real estate license first, then get experience in the field BEFORE advancing more into the BROKER license course?
You might goggle real estate license for the state of Illinois. This will tell you the requirements to become a real estate agent in your state. You will also be informed about the broker requirements of your state. In California a person with a 4 year degree from a recognized college in the United States is able to take the real estate broker test without being licensed as a real estate agent,or taking the real estate agent test. You might see if Illinois have a similar law. Failure to have the degree, in most states you are required to have at least two years experience as a real estate sales agent before you are allowed to take the real estate broker's test. In order to practice or sell real estate and get experience you must have a real estate license. You must take continuing education courses to maintain and keep your real estate license. You may study for the Real Estate broker's course at anytime you wish. You may only take the broker's test once you have completed your state's requirement to take the broker's exam. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
I live in Knoxville, TN, and I am currently working on by bachelors of accounting with a minor in finance at the University of Tennessee. It has always been my dream to work in real estate, but I don't want to rely solely on a real estate license in today's economy. So, what kind of jobs are out there for those with a real estate license and a business degree as well? And what duties would these jobs consist of? Please be specific! Thanks :)
If you have a degree - or any other qualification - then you'll already be ahead of the masses when it comes to hunting for jobs. My buddy has a degree and he wasn't sure what direction to go with it, but he unearthed some good tips on the website in the resource box below which helped him to settle that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is loads of guidance on the website regarding other jobs.
Do you need title insurance to sell real estate?
Ginger is correct. === To simplify - the buyer buys title insurance. The title insurance company does a search on the property-title and makes sure that there are no hidden leans or anything the new buyers don't end up buying. Recently (here in NYC) there were few cases where scammers selling property that they did not own. If the buyer did NOT buy title insurance it is possible that they had to give the property back (to the real owner) and lose their money. The good point about having title insurance is that if there ever anything like this comes up, it is the insurance company that provides the lawyer to fight it - because it would be their own money they would be losing.
would you prefer a real estate agent with tattoos who is relaxed and easy going, or someone who drives a nice car and suit and both are equally helpful?
Jeffery Dahlmer did not have a single tattoo. But I would not invite him to dinner. Most of the recent financial scandals and embezzlements that hit the front pages were handled by clean cut professional looking gentlemen (and a few ladies) The relationship between having a tattoo and being a good real estate agent escapes me. I would see what the agents prior record (in the real estate industry) is, and look at the size and nature of the sales that he/she has handled. If I was really going for the in depth research I would also contact previous clients to get their feedback.. Even if the guy is a die-hard Samoan with face tattoos that would keep even Mother Teresa awake at night, I would still consider using him if he was competent and did the job better than the other guy. If you are looking for a car, you do not question where the roads lead to.
