Q: I spliced the stereo wires to the adapter to plug into my car. there's 2 extra orange wires in the adapter. There orange it says there for illumination and the dimmer. What should I do with them? Did I get the wrong one?: You should have bought a radio adapter for your car! Splicing the cables is not a good idea! You can get a Radio adapter which joins the connector from the radio to the cars radio wiring!

Q: Just got a 540 wat sound system but the speaker wires are only 5 feet, so I want to add about another 10 or 15 feet.: It is an easy fix. Get the same kind of wire that you now have. I live in Sacramento...I believe Home Depot or other similar stores may carry that wire. Cut the existing wire, peel back the covering, and expose each wire...at both ends of the cut. Do the same for the new wire extension. Strip each of all wires about one half inch. Connect each wire...you can solder, use a crimp, heat shrink, or just simply tape. It's not a big deal. When all the wires are connected, tape them all together so it looks neat!!!.

Q: what is the best speaker wire for some subwoofers that are rated between 500rms watts to 750rms watts: loxotox has finally conviced me that he is obviously lying about his accomplishments. There is no way in hell that 2 or 4 gauge wire will fit to wire up the coils on these subs. It is physically impossible, unless you shave down the wire. I would not recomend doing that at all, that is speaking from what I know about electronics. I would suggest using 12 or maybe 10 gauge wire. You can use lighter wire but will not get optimum performance from your sub.

Q: I have a 220v single phase kiln with two red wires labeled L1 and L2, and one white wire labeled N. It did not come with the plug, so I bought one and new wire 3/c 10awg, but it has ground(green), Hot(black), and neutral(White). I dont know how to proceed with wiring? any help would be great. Q: a difference of 25 feet with 16 gague wire: Yes, but you will not notice it. Keep the same length on BOTH channels. Go with heavier gauge (stranded and labeled as speaker) wire on long runs too. Buy a 12 gauge spool at RadioShack.
